I have done a lot of work to my car recently and figured I would go ahead and post everything in one thread.

This is my Velocity blue, 6 speed manual 2021 Mustang GT premium PP1 with 401a pack, safe and smart pack, security pack, B&O stereo, active exhaust.

This is my first Mustang and I absolutely love it. I have been to 2 Mustang weeks and 1 other Mustang meet with it so far. This forum and the Mustang community are such a fantastic group of people to talk too.

They have all been so helpful, even the companies like Steeda and Ford performance are so helpful every time I call them to order parts or to ask for advice.

So hopefully by me making this thread, it will help out some people here like they have helped me with all my questions. So thanks to everyone that has helped me and here we go with the build thread.

I started my search for exactly what I wanted and found it, But it was in another state. So I booked a flight, hopped on a plane and went to buy my dream car.

As soon as I laid eyes on my car, it was love at first sight. The long trip was all worth it. I should mention that this was my first manual car ever. I knew how to drive manual, but wasn't the best at it.

Well now it was time to learn because it's just me and the car and a 9 hour road trip back home.
IMG_0779.webp

As soon as I left the dealership I went and fueled up, got some snacks and something to drink and hit the road. I was a little nervous at this point because I'm trying to get used to the manual transmission along with trying to learn all the new buttons.

This was also my first fast car. Before this car, the most powerful car I owned only had 215 Horse power.
IMG_0782.webp
Stopped to admire the beautiful scenery. Not only do I have my dream car but the roadtrip home was very scenic. At this point, I'm starting to feel more comfortable with the car and was having a blast.

I edited the license plate out of this picture by the way. I wasn't driving around with no tags on.
IMG_0794.webp
Night time came and I was blown away with all the lights and just how nice the interior is in this car.

I decided to stop and get a hotel room for the night and this was my view when I woke up. Walking out to the Mustang for the first time now that I own it was amazing.

It took me a little bit to fall asleep because I was worried about my car out in the hotel parking lot.
IMG_0792.webp

We got home safe and the first thing I did was give her the very first wash.
IMG_0804.webp

After that wash, I ended up doing an iron remover, clay bar, and two stage paint correction on just the parts of the car I was having paint protection film installed. I didn't want to dial in the whole car just yet in case they marred or swirled the paint with the ppf install.

Anyways, I got the front bumper, full hood, partial fenders, mirror caps, head lights and fog lights covered in xpel ppf and got 35 percent xpel ceramic window tint all around.
IMG_0938.webp

I waited about 2 weeks for the paint protection film to cure and after that I did a full recon wash, iron remover, clay bar, 2 stage paint correction, wiped the car down with panel prep and ceramic coated the whole car including the paint, glass, trim, and ppf.
IMG_1171.webp

After the paint correction, I ended up doing Ford black emblems. I did the front pony, the 5.0 badges, and the black GT badge. I also in stalled my MMD by Foose spoiler and amber delete tint strips for the headlights.

At this point I was getting more comfortable with the car and the manual transmission. So it was time for my first road trip with the car since I bought it.

I decided to go to Surfside Beach, SC. Blue was very happy that she had a blue golf cart buddy and a blue house to stay at.

IMG_1437.webp

Went out to do a little shopping and came back to my car to see I had parking buddies. I quickly started to learn, Mustang owners like parking next to other Mustangs which is pretty cool to see.
IMG_1496.webp

After this beach trip, I went back to the beach for Mustang week. This was my second time going but it was the first time going with my new Mustang.

I had a blast, I met a lot of really great people and saw a bunch of really cool cars.

I thought this was a really cool picture of red, white and blue Mustangs.

Once I got back home, I got blue all cleaned up. I love the color of this car. Decided to top the Gyeon Mohs ceramic coating with a layer of Griot's Garage ceramic 3in1 wax.

I have always been into auto detailing and paint corrections. I have been detailing as a hobby for 20 years now.

Once I got the Mustang I decided to upgrade my entire detailing setup and upgrade the garage some too.

After seeing RTR Mustangs for the first time when I was at Mustang week and really liking them I decided to order some parts from RTR.

I ended up getting the RTR front lip, RTR side extensions and RTR rear extensions.

One thing I couldn't stand about my Mustang was how the lower grille was cheap plastic. So I decided to order an OEM Mustang Bullit lower grille which is gloss black to match the upper grille.

I started getting bored of the small lip spoiler. So I bought a brand new OEM PP1 spoiler and had it paint matched. In the process of taking off the black spoiler, some goo gone got under my stripe and ruined it.

So I said ok, the car is 4 years old at this point and vinyl wrap has a life span of about 3-5 years. So I decided to re do all the stripes.

I bought a plain roll of 3M gloss black vinyl wrap. Measured the width of the factory stripes and cut my own stripes out of a roll of vinyl and laid them down.

It was my very first time doing this but I think it turned out great. I also made them longer than the OEM stripes so they dont stop short like the factory stripes did.

I wrapped them around the edges where I could like the bumper and the trunk lid. I also added the American flag vinyl overlay to my GT badge.

This picture looks a little weird because I tried to blur the license plate. That one stripe is not crooked. lol

I ordered a set of Race Ramp wheel cribs so that when I decided on what suspension I was going to order, I would have these to clock the bushings at the end of the job before I went in for a alignment.
IMG_5136.webp
IMG_5145.webp

I called up Steeda and spoke with Sergio, I ordered Steeda full length jacking rails, IRS aluminum bushing reinforcements and IRS alignment dowels.

I just wanted to say thanks to @Steeda-Sergio for the fantastic customer service. It's very rare nowadays to find a company that has this level of customer service and you can tell they love what they do.

They are always in a good mood and happy to help whenever you call them. So thank you Sergio for all the help over the phone. I will be a customer for life.

I plan on adding more Steeda parts in the future and when I do I will update the post.

For the suspension I decided to go with the Ford performance track handling kit. However nobody had it in stock, so I pieced the kit together by ordering all the parts of the kit brand new from different places and also ordered Maximum Motorsports camber plates.

I ended up buying 25mm wheel spacers for all 4 corners and because of that I decided to buy rokblokz mud flaps.

Here are some pictures after the car has settled for about 2 days. I have not had the bushings clocked and it has only been driven about 5 miles to see how it rides.

It will be going in soon for the bushings to be clocked and to get an alignment done. My sway bars have been ordered but at this point they have not come in yet. So I will do a update with some pictures when those come in.

This picture looks weird because I blurred my plate out for this picture. Anyways I bought an OEM Mach 1 rear diffuser, the brackets, the exhaust hangers, and the closeout panel for underneath the car to make it all fit like oem and to make it functional.

The RTR splitters on the side are not made for this rear diffuser, they are made for the PP1 diffuser. So I had to take them off my old one and do a little trimming and measuring to make them fit on this new diffuser.

Cool build and story from beginning to current so far! These cars are a lot of fun in many aspects
Thank you! I still have more modifications and pictures to post. I have had this car for 2 years now. I just now finally decided to make this build thread. I have diode dynamic fog lights and ford performance track sway bars on the way now.

So just a little update, I have ordered a few more parts that should be here in the next few days. But while I wait on the other parts at least my Diode Dynamics fog lights came in.

If anyone is interested I can take some pictures of the stock light output at night and then the Diode Dynamic light output at night. Just let me know.

I am waiting on the other parts to come in before I put the car up on jack stands to start working on it again.

I would like to see such pictures. As well as before and after of the front end; daytime and then at night.

I am still waiting on my Ford performance track sway bars to come in. They should be here in a few days. I had one of my detailing orders from Griot's Garage come in and my Roush H pipe also came in.

After unpacking and checking out all the stuff that came in today, I went out and Installed my Off roam phone mount, Steeda clutch spring and perch, and new floor mats that have a little pony emblem on both the front mats.
