I installed the Steeda SS clutch line and have a quick question
All went well but the line seems to be just about 8 inches too long causing a high spot near the reservoir, not enough to interfere with the hood closure but higher than the stock line.
I ran the line as recommended so there aren't any hard turns, loops or stress on the connections.
Anyone experience this as well ?
I did the 300 pump bleed and this morning had to do another 100.
I assume it takes some time to get all the air out ?
Anyhow was just wanting to get some feedback. Thanks

I have installed a SS clutch line and this did the trick. Pull a vacuum on the reservoir this should help pull the rest of any air out of the system.

1.1/4 tapered I picked it up at Ace hardware then drilled a hole and pushed a vacuum line coupler through.

Not sure how you routed your SS line, here's how I did mine.

I see now- I connected at the metal bracket leaving the existing metal line from the firewall to the bracket
Looks like you eliminated the metal line and connected the flex directly to the firewall connection.
I did not realize it could be done both ways.
I looked at the firewall connection and it looks a bit different from the bracket
connection.
Note that I put a flex sleeve over mine

Don't beat yourself up. There's no wrong way to do something. It's what M6G forum does best, gives everyone a place to bounce ideas off each other. :fistbump:

Final thoughts on this mod for those not sure-
I highly recommend,
Shifts are a bit smoother and have a more positive feel.
Things to note during the install:

I discover after I pulled the old line that it was actually abrading on the sound tube and had some of the plastic worn away. Not a good situation on a high pressure line.
Ford- Why ???

Give yourself plenty of time, allocate 2 hours just in case you run into issues.

Cover the hose ends with a plastic sandwich bag while routing the cable to prevent any dirt from entering the ends.

I recommend getting some 14" angled nose long nosed players for attaching the connector at the transmission, I used an 11" and it was still very difficult because room is extremely limited.

Also- be sure to connect the upper connector to the actual firewall connection not the extension connection. See pics above for
reference.

Use a set of picks to pull the clips out enough to remove existing connectors.
and push clips back into place before connecting the hose so you feel a positive click when properly seated.

Be patient when bleeding, I had to pump about 300 times to get a good feel of the pedal.
