Considering a 15% loss 640WHP converts to about 750HP crank.

Congrats! Sounds good. I have not really looked at the whipple, but I know they sound good from my experience with them on big block Chevys in powerboats.

Wow, 750?? Really? I was hoping to beat 707. I can't imagine the kit making over 300 crank hp. Is this really possible?

Here kitty kitty kitty ;)

Well I calculated that based on an exact 15% loss. The numbers could be higher or lower depending on what your car puts down stock. Let's say that after you have the Whipple blower installed and you dyno it at 640WHP based on an exact 15% loss (which is estimated for RWD cars) you'll be making about 750 hp crank. It could fluctuate up and down in % just depends on the car itself. But you'll be well above 700 for sure if your car puts down 640WHP with the blower.

Where in Florida are you @? Would love to see this once done.
Central between Orlando & Tampa

It may be a bit before complete. I want to put a few miles on car before install.

Well, pulled the trigger on a Whipple kit for my PP GT! So excited!

I was originally going with Roush as my dealer said they would honor the factory power train warranty (with them installing it) but I just can't do it. I am a huge Whipple fan and had one on my 05 and have been really regretting the decision. The new system looks freaking unbelievable and in my opinion is far superior to Roush.

The straw that broke the Roush camel's (Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike) back was finding out the K brace gets destroyed for installation. I believe Roush is the only one that does this and personally I don't like it.

Tasca Mod Shop will be doing the install so that makes me happy. My father would be proud of me as he used to race Tasca back in the 60's. Tasca has a huge reputation for outstanding performance and couldn't be happier to have them do the install.

I'm told we are looking at least 4 weeks before the kit arrives as Whipple just started shipping preorders and I'm late to the list but I'm not concerned, it just gives me more time to save some money.

I will be sure to keep you guys who may be interested up to date.

Jaime

. Tasca is a class act operation. Everyone in the hot rod and drag racing sport is well aware of Bob Tasca's quality reputation

Not as serious as you might think. These 5.0's love boost and respond accordingly. Enjoy the whine.

No matter which vendor you go with, with those kind of RWHP numbers, I'd be seriously considering FRPP upgraded half shafts.
