If you have a railcar # I can send you the actual trip plan for the car will show you where it will be and an estimate of when.

I am served by BNSF as far east as Chicago. Michigan-Chicago must be served by another railroad. Is there a way to track a rail car if it is switched from one rail line to another?

We have a tool called I-Trace. I can usually see the cars on every class one except NS.

What is the BNSF origin city for the Flat Rock plant?

I'm not sure, but I did see my car go through Glasgow, MT (after going through Gibson, IN) which was marked as BNSF and I know the final destination is on BNSF too.

I used the BNSF tracking app to see how close to Flat Rock I could get it to respond. It quit at Illinois/Chicago. So I assume that is as far as BNSF tracks run toward eastern Michigan. BNSF delivers Mustangs less than a mile from my dealer.

My car, which went west, switched from Canadian National Railways to BNSF in Chicago. The CSX phone tracking worked for it all the way to Portland.
