Congratulations. Thing is great the way it is but I did paint and glass ceramic coat ,tint , passerger side catch can Jacking rails I fabicated and an x pipe resonator delete. I would first check all your fluid levels. Mine were low in the diff and steering.
I was wondering how to check diff fluid. Is it in the manual or do you just pull the fill hole plug same as diffs without a cooler? I haven't been under my car yet.

You'll see the fill a drain plugs once you're under it. Gear oil should dribble out if it full when pulling the fill plug.

Thanks. I know on my PP2 it was like 1/4" or so below the fill plug. Looking forward to learning how to change the diff fluid.

I just attended the GT500 Track Attack a couple of weeks ago and some of the instructors were running stock Mach 1's. Unless you are some kind of professional race car driver running a track and pushing the car to the limits (chances are unless you are a professional racecar driver or have been to Track Attack, you probably have no idea of its limits, and most likely wont ever if you don't attend Track Attack). You would probably total it before you ever got to it's limits if you don't really know how to drive it. Know the dynamics of braking and accelerating in and out of corners before you push it if you want to live. Not bashing, just saying that a Mach 1 with handling pack and cup 2's driven correctly is one formidable beast and will suffice on any track with more than 90% of the people who own one. If you bought new, attend the Mach 1 Track Attack then decide if you need any mods other than lifting rails and maybe a roll bar, 4 point harness and a helmet. Oh, maybe a Hans to go with the roll bar, helmet and 4 point if you are goiong to really get on it. Be sure to do the second day option for the money where you can run the 2015 GT 5.0's and learn a thing or two about pushing on a track and just how far you can get your butt to pucker and still hold the road. You have a race car out fo the box. If you wanted something to mod you should have bought a base model. .

I agree with that the Mach1 HP needs nothing more which is why I upgraded. I had my PP2 close to it's limit on the track. I know Mach1 won't be much faster but the coolers will give it more longevity. The better trans with no lift shift might save me a few tenths of lap time. I'm planning to go with a Watson 4 point and some 6 point harnesses once my bank account recovers.

Agreed. That's why my mod list has been and will be nearly all cosmetic/functional stuff. This car is SO very capable already right off the lot. With 480 ponies under the hood and lots of transmission/chassis/cosmetic bits from the GT350 and GT500, why would I, "Average Joe", ever need to do more to it?

Done
  • Remove stock air intake restrictor (Slight HP gain)
  • Side and Rear Window Tints (Cosmetic & Functional)
  • Husky Liners Weatherbeater Floor Mat Set (Cosmetic & Functional)
  • Interior LED Light Set (Cosmetic & Functional)
  • Black Billet Aluminum Reverse Lock Out Collar (Cosmetic & Functional)
  • California Pony Cars Coolant Tank Cover (Cosmetic)
  • BMR Low Profile Chassis Jacking Rails (Functional)
  • Gloss Black Mach 1 Spoiler w/Tinted Wicker Bill (Cosmetic & Functional)
  • RokBlokz Front/Rear Splash Guard Set (Cosmetic & Functional)
Near Future
  • C&L Stainless Steel Resonator-Delete H-Pipe (Aural Enhancement)
  • Redline Tuning QuickLIFT Plus Hood Struts (Cosmetic & Functional)
  • J&L Passenger Side Oil Catch Can 3.0 (Functional)
  • Garmin Dash Camera (Functional)
Literally all of these things are just little minor tweaks that help me enjoy the car more, whether I'm standing there looking at it, actively driving it, or performing regular maintenance on it.
