Just saw a national TV ad from Ford featuring a 2015 Mustang and Focus.
Ad stated $2,500 incentive. Is this just for Focus or will it also cover Mustang?

It was confusing...they first showed the 2015 Mustang then the 2015 Fusion, then talked about $2500 incentive.
But it wasn't clear if the incentive was common to both.

Ohhhhhhh, record it when you see it again and try to read the small letters disclosures at the end or when presented. What channel or broadcaster was it?

Ford site still only has the 500.00 Dream Big Rebate on the Mustang. The 2014 Focus has up to 4000.00 cash back depending on model and the 2015 Fusion has the following:
$1,000 Dream Big Customer Cash (PGM #12668) + $500 Customer Cash (PGM #12638) + $500 Bonus Cash (PGM #12646) + $500 Ford Credit Bonus Cash (PGM #12644) which requires Ford Credit financing. Not all buyers will qualify for Ford Credit financing. Not available on Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi. Residency restrictions apply. For all offers, take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 1/5/15. See dealer for qualifications and complete details.

Maybe after January 1St this will apply to the Mustang as well? It would be nice.

Would be amazing. Sometimes I wish and pray I have the car prior to January 5th. Then again, the future holds unknown rebates, or maybe none. My car is looking like a January EDD so let's see.

I think it would be safe to say there will be some sort of rebates after January 5th. Fingers crossed! No way I get my car before then.

Why

Why would Ford offer a rebate if 8000 units were sold in November?
My new convertible has a mid January build date.It would be great to get more than the 750$ when I ordered.......I will start praying tonight:ford:

Rebates are the way of the world. I can't speak to the car industry but in my industry rebates drive sales and allow the dealerships to sell more at a higher profit since the money comes out of the manufacturers pocket (but the mark up on the invoice to dealers price anyway) rather than the dealership's. This in turn allows the manufacturer to move more product and in some cases have next to no profit in the product sales themselves. Where manufacturers really make a ton of money is maintenance/parts. The more products out there, the more they can make in those categories.

This. Well said, may the rebates be forever in our favor.

Current '15 Mustang rebate is $500. Don't expect a hot, all-new model to have much more than that anytime soon. At the end of the '15 model year when the '16's start becoming available, I'd bet we'll up to a $1,000 or slightly more.

I bet Ford will up the $500 to $1000 in January.
The 2014s have up to $4000 in rebates right now.
