I am wondering if anyone has ever taken off the red text on the cali special that is on trunk panel. Is there pegs that go into any holes there or is it just adhesive holding it on. Considered taking it off and still not sure. I love the GT cap on there just not sure about the red text.

If it is just adhesive it s going to be hard not to scratch up the black panel removing glue. Probably need to polish that area.

I have to admit that I much prefer the CS cap on mine without the lettering.

I like the RED Text, set s it apart.
I do and don't like it. Depends on my mood I guess. I think before I ever make the decision I would want to finish building out the exterior aesthetics. Specifically a spoiler for this. Not a fan of the spoiler it came with. If I ever do decide to get rid of the red text I just want to know if it is doable without leaving anything behind, good to know it is an option if I decide to because if I take it off it probably won't go back on so need to remember that as well.

Was it just held on with adhesive? Can you post a pic? It is hard to imagine it not being there since its... there. Would like to see what it looks like without it if you have a pic of the back.

I didn't have the lettering to begin with, so I don't know how it's held on. Here's what mine looks like:

Right, they did it differently with the '22. When buying mine there was the silver '21 and the blue '22 which had the same design as yours. Clean looking car though. I liked having the pony on the front which deterred me from the '22 and it costed a little more so I went with the silver.

I painted my red letters with gloss black touch up paint. Commiefornia Special letters are still there but don't pop so hard like the bright red did. I did the chrome ring and GT in the center also. So everything is still there but its all black.

Was also planning on doing some polishing when I apply my next ceramic coat. I have helped remove badges off my buddies GT and a little heat gun action (done at a safe distance and heat), painters tape and something to pry with would do it. It’s pretty easy to get a grip on the lettering since it’s pretty raised.

As long as it doesn't look ridiculous I am a fan. I was thinking the performance pack spoiler, but black.
I have a silver car with a PP1 Spoiler but I painted it it the same color as the car. Here's a look.

I’d just buy a new Blank Panel and keep your original one in the attic.
