Painted the coil covers with red Dupli Color caliper paint, installed Redline hood struts, and installed a red Airaid filter (same as the Ford Performance filter except red instead of blue). OK with the way it turned out but was hoping for a little more wow factor.

Looks good! Did you have to remove the strut brace to get them out or can you wiggle them free with popping that hose off and removing the 2 bolts that hold them down?

Thanks! Yes, was able to wiggle them out without removing the strut tower brace. Two 10mm nuts each side.

Not in a big hurry, my M1 won't be built for at least 2 months. Figuring on Picking it up in August. I should have most everything I want to put on it before I get it. Ordered a set of Euro Tail Lights and Hood Struts too. Only thing left are Jacking Rails and a GT500 Hood, and I'm done!

Installed Raceseng Slammer gloss red big bore shift knob with factory lockout. $209 delivered, not sure it’s worth that much, but it’s very heavy and seems to be high quality. The packaging probably is worth $25 itself. But it looks good and matches the hood stripe well.

That's really cool having your father drive and enjoy your Mustang.

My Dad is not a car guy so no shared interest in them. The first and only time he drove mine was shortly after I picked it up from the dealer. He was terrified of it, then proceeded to stall the thing. I don't think he can live that down.

Mike, how are you liking the quality of the hood struts? Is the hood help up firmly or are you getting a lot of side to side wiggle? Engine bay looks sharp.

Thanks Tony! Big fan of the Redline struts, they work nicely. I got the beefier of the two available kits.
