Pre-Production 2017 GT350R Found For Sale

Excited to join this group...SO much great insight over the years. I bought the 2019 PP 0007 performance blue from Jack Demmer Ford w/1600 miles and can't wait to get it delivered in a week! I've had muscle cars for past 30yrs since I was 16 with my first car being a 70' Mustang w/351. couple years back bought a 16' GT premium modified and loved it but just always wanted the 5.2 voodoo. Already ordered a new shifter, thinking about replacing hood with new GT500 hood and wondering if I should buy a separate set of lower cost tires for street use and save the cup 2's for rare track days I plan to do given their short lifespan and cost...lol If anyone else is interested, the second BEST deal IMO I found is this 2019 velocity blue PP 0005 if anyone is interested! I ended up buying the car. I searched for the placard number and found this thread. The dealer told me that the car was used at car shows and possibly track/media events. I was a bit hesitant at first knowing it was probably driven hard, but it is in great condition and still under warranty. The original (60's) GT350 was always my dream car as a kid, and I have wanted a new GT350 since they were first announced. I had planned on buying a new one in the spring, but this one popped up and I had to have it. I never expected to buy a R, but I am really glad I held out for this one.

Congrats!! I test drove your car about a month ago and it drove great without issue. I have some pictures of it at the dealership next to PP0007 as well in the used car lot.

Congrats to you as well! That car was immaculate when I saw it at Jack Demmer. Make sure to grab some Ford Performance oil separators, these cars can really benefit from having those. I've got some pictures of your car sitting in the used car lot if you're interested! It was sitting next to GT350R H0012 for a couple months.

Yeah, I saw that one as well, but if I remember correctly it's a Recaro car, and I really like the heated/cooled seats.

Haha, that is so cool! Congrats. Yes they sent it to me from the Ford dealer in Michigan. Where did you buy yours? Man I just can’t get enough of driving this beast! Are you going to Vegas Shelby bash next month by any chance?

I bought mine out of Kentucky. Originally was buying a gray 2016 but that deal fell through and I decided on this one.

Vegas is a long way from me so probably not haha Would be awesome to meet up with these two cars though.

BTW, the first R model built for the 2017 MY was a GT350R specially built for Jamal Hameedi with his 2017 R being built in February 2016 and had a chassis number of "HR001" and have driven it a good number of miles and it runs terrific and now resides with a great friend of mine.

Was it that race red one minus the stripes he used to pull up to the engine technical meeting and kind of curbed the front ?

Actually his car was Ruby Red with a Black roof and not Race Red.

Also for anyone purchasing an R model in either Ruby Red or Race Red then OTT stripes were not available.

I bought H0012 a year ago in February, the car was involved in some sort of minor accident, I assume from hydroplaning, destroyed all of the carbon wheels, broke the splitter off and cracked the front bumper. I have since repaired the car with all OEM parts and just acquired a set of mint carbon wheels, so it’s just about back to its former glory. New member of the forums, looking forward to being a part of the community. Here are a couple shots of the car currently.
