Wait…
on the one hand you’re saying that the vaccines don’t prevent infection, but also claiming that the vaccines “wear off” (which is true).
Do you not see what you’ve done there?
If they don’t work, how exactly do they “wear off”?
the vaccines do not prevent infection, correct. they were originally sold as that yes but no one even pretends thats true anymore. i don't see the confusion in that statement. if they prevented infection, we wouldn't be seeing cases rise to the levels they are, and we wouldn't be seeing so many 3x vaxxed individuals testing positive. the only argument for the vaccine is that they potentially lesson the symptoms after infection. and they do lose effectivity, apparently after only months. these are not my opinions. these are now official positions of even the pharma companies.

I‘ll quote a passage from the link at the bottom.
Please note, they’re specifically referring to the reduced risk of INFECTION.
In fairness, this article comes from September of this year and probably doesn’t account for Omicron data.

“According to the UK's Office for National Statistics, the AstraZeneca vaccine is 67 per cent effective against infection with Delta, while the Pfizer jab is 80 per cent effective.

Other preliminary research suggests there isn't much difference between the two, and that they both reduce the risk of infection by 80 per cent.

Estimates for vaccine effectiveness against infection vary considerably from country to country, and depend on the type of vaccine, the prevailing COVID-19 variant, and the time elapsed since the second vaccine.

Estimates vary from around 55 to 80 per cent, with most hovering around the 60-70 per cent mark.”
in fairness, that isn't a ringing endorsement of the vaccines for individuals that are not in an at risk category. that tells me that the shots will always be behind the newest variant. if you can come up with a shot that prevents infection against the next variant thats coming, you have my interest. but i don't need a vax for previous variants. and if they don't stop infection of the current threat, i'm not statistically at risk for that threat, what exactly is the need to get one?

Now, onto the claim re: China.
You honestly think they deliberately created a virus that only kills about 0.5% of the population? Seems like a really poor quality biological weapon to me. You‘d think they’d ramp it up a bit. Never mind the fact that the virus shows all the hallmarks of a virus that evolved naturally. To the point that if a person were to create this deliberately, there’s much simpler ways of going about it. Much less troublesome.
yes the virus was created deliberately in a chinese lab. we even know the likely lab. this is not controversial other than to those that feel it is their sacred job to defend the ccp. note i did not say that they created a biological weapon to kill 0.5% of the population. my point was if they are fucking around with viruses and cannot keep from poisoning the world then they must be eliminated. the world simply can't have a communist state involved in this type of behavior if they can't be trusted to not fuck up. btw, our own government has hinted that the lab leak theory is being taken seriously. you're not sitting around thinking this was a product of bat soup or whatever BS story we were fed 2 years ago, right?
also, 0.5% death rate. we are supposed to shut the world down and mandate medical treatments for every human on earth under threat of force, for 0.5%? that doesn't add up sorry.

Do you have anything else to contribute to this Moderna vaccine thread other than your repetitive stance on not caring about your fellow man and that it’s everyone for themselves?
Maybe go back to the speeding thread.
My only reason for commenting is many of you are basically putting everyone should be required to vax. This is simply unethical. I cannot fathom the stance to induce this to people who are healthy. This freepenguin won’t have any part on pushing required vaccines on people. Nope nope nope

Oh dear. Let the virus run free, vaccination is too dangerous, there are too many people in the world, the authorities are too powerful, it's all political. The only thing you forgot to mention was the revolution. :cwl: Your true colours shine through clearly

End of discussion - Goodbye
you are dishonest and making yourself look bad with each one of these type of posts. i've clearly said to protect those at risk, get them vaccinated because the risk of the virus is likely higher than anything from the vaccine, and get used to the idea that this is just a thing going forward. or we can continue to add experimental medical procedures to our bodies at an increasing rate and stay hidden in the basement? i'm sure the board of directors at moderna and pfizer appreciate your pumping for them but it doesn't sound like much of a plan to me. even with the vaccines the virus is running free, doing what viruses do.......evolve, become more transmissible, and weaker. i don't know where you got your comment on revolution. the emoji tells me it was supposed to be a joke but i must have missed it. is it related to some kind of hard feelings you guys have to getting curb stomped a couple hundred years ago and then needing to be saved in the 1940's? like an inferiority complex? either way it doesn't seem relevant to this discussion.

Wow again.

Asymptomatic spread mean anything to you, or are the tests too hard work for you as well ?

You will be waiting a (probably quite short) lifetime waiting for you to become completely immune. You would also be the only person in the world to manage it :cwl:

The rest of the post leaves me speechless.
asymptomatic spread is occurring and there is nothing you can do about it. either yesterday or the day before our CDC announced that spread occurs in the 1-2 days before symptoms appear. should we walk around with a covid test up our ass 24/7 just in case?

As an individual example - three in my household all had COVID a month ago, wife and two adult children. They had not had boosters (children just missed out by age cut off for the booster) wife had it booked but caught COVID first. They were all ill, week off work or more. I was the only one in the house that tested negative throughout and had no symptoms. I was boosted 2 weeks before they caught it, so had massively high antibody levels.

Whilst not a sterilising vaccine (hence why herd immunity will never be reached) the vaccines do provide good protection against infection for several months. If you time this with the period of highest risk (winter) as is the case with flu vaccines then you maximise the benefit of the booster. It will be flu vaccine Mk2 for the future.

China virus claims and nuke China - some of the reasons I have blocked him now. I have no wish to interact with such an individual.
no, you block people that don't agree with you and you lack the ability to respond to in a serious way. i get it, its much easier than defending your positions. its not impressive however.

Dude if you’re healthy you’re literally 99.9999% going to survive. Don’t see a point to get crap injected into me.
youre missing the pesonalities many of these people have taken on in the last 2 years. this whole covid deal gives their lives meaning. they feel like have a level of control over others they previously lacked. they have become virologists simply from listening to the faces of the tv screen. they know things to be true and believe it to their core but its not good enough unless you agree. i suspect there is also to some degree a level of fear in that they got the vax and in taking that risk, believe its only fair that everyone else does as well. sort of a "we're all in this together" thing.

So many people with that naïve attitude are now dead.

Never mind the vulnerable people (such as your sick family) you will pass it on too.
the data is clear that an overwhelming majority of those dead were elderly, overweight, unhealthy, or some combination of these. naivety has nothing to do with biology.

Great. Your finally leaving the thread!!! Best thing that could happen.
they are never leaving. you can see in the way they talk down and insult others, they can't let this go. ever.

What a sad, selfish state of affairs. Glad I live in a more considerate and responsible place.
you live in a place with less individual freedom. that me work for you, but many of us could not imagine living in that environment.

thats their MO.....kick you off the thread without any information as to why So they can continue to spread their interpretation and the misleading of facts. I’ve read a lot of your post and yes you are very well spoken and do not name call. They on the other hand do all the name calling and put downs......especially Gregory!
the lack of self-awareness is fascinating. they meet skepticism by silencing, banning, or blocking differing viewpoints and then can't comprehend why the level of skepticism rises.

instead of repeating "wow" answer me this please. in 6 months we find out with absolute certainty that the virus was created as part of gain of function research in a lab with poor safety controls. the lab refuses to shut down and announces that work will continue. do you just wrap your face in an n95 and accept that the next virus could come at anytime from the same location, oh well? no, there have to be consequences to this type of behavior. nations have attacked others over bio/chem weapons programs because of the threat. actually allowing this to be something we have to accept is not going to be a thing if humanity is going to continue on. imagine if the next bug they are working on that hasn't yet escaped has a death rate of 60%? its almost to upsetting to consider.

Transparency and Full Disclosure = integrity.

When it takes a projected 70 years for 500K FDA approval docs to be released under disclosure law, that were submitted and approved in mere months, one can easily arrive at a common sense conclusion haha.
Once again - look outside the US. The vaccines and pandemic are unconcerned with US petty politics. The 'common sense conclusion' is how many lives have been and continue to be saved by vaccination.

EXACTLY how vaccines work.

I assume you are vaccinated against Tetanus, Polio, Measles, Mumps, possibly Rubella, Flu ? All given to healthy people to stop them getting sick. All created to benefit others, obviously something you don't care about!

How about another new vaccine against HPV? Vaccinating healthy children has resulted in the virtual elimination of cervical cancer saving thousands of lives (the exceptions being those cervical cancers caused by other causes - a very small percentage) I suppose this is also the work of Satan ?

“The power of science”: HPV vaccine proven to dramatically reduce cervical cancer - Cancer Research UK - Cancer news

The effects of the national HPV vaccination programme in England, UK, on cervical cancer and grade 3 cervical intraepithelial neoplasia incidence: a register-based observational study - The Lancet

Or would you not bother (too much work) and just leave everybody to their own fate untreated, unvaccinated, uncaring.

It is shocking to think there are people in this world who care so little about others. That is what society is based upon, without any consideration for others we are no more than savages. Even some primitive animals care for others in their flock and defend against a common enemy.

My client has a huge cat shelter and everyone gets antibody analysis before any vaccines haha.
Different diseases and different immunological behaviour.

Did you have the BCG vaccine when young? You would have had a Heaf test first. Different diseases, different protocols, apples and oranges.

I'll know you as Atlas1 Shrugged, after Ayn Rand's novel. I mean this as a compliment. Some people don't like Rand; I think she was a genius. As she describes the book's theme: "The role of man's mind in existence." (To quote verbatim, I had to look that up, BTW (I'm not a genius, and quite forgetful)). But to be clear, I'm not saying you're a genius. I don't know you well enough to make such a claim. But so young (by my standards, 30ish I think you said somewhere) and skeptical of the official narrative when so many fall in lockstep to the growing Authoritarian chicanery conquering and dividing our country. It almost gives me hope for the future of our country. :) Almost. Regardless, keep on questioning. Everything.

Going to war with China gives you hope? I remember my first brief on China in the 80s... all I can say is "good luck with that"....

Someone making unsubstantiated and false claims gives you hope? I believe everything should be questioned, but obviously some have already made up their minds based on politics and not science.

What he is saying which you try and spin anyway you can is simply this......it’s your choice......your life. If you want to get vaccinated do it but don’t push it on others that don’t.

False claims in your mind only. He made a lot of great points.....all very substantial in what has happened over the last couple of years.

When did it come out that the virus is known (for a fact) to have come from a lab in China?

I'm honestly interested. I know it is being investigated. Did the results of that investigation come out?
