Not that this is a big help but I do find there is a sweet spot in stop and go where I can stay in 2nd and creep forward pretty constantly and do way less gear changes.

It all goes to shit if someone cuts in front of you though.

Check into the possibility of modified hours.

This is what I was gonna suggest. I live in Davie and work in Boca-- 30 miles each way. I petitioned to have them let me do 10-6, which helps. Mostly in the morning though-- evenings can still be busy but I'm able to take the turnpike instead if I need to.

It really is, I'm just trying to get home so I can rest. I drive between 100 to 150 miles a day on the company's truck so the last thing I want is some morron trying to race me.

I tried living there starting in January 1993. I lasted until October, and actually went back to Wyoming to get away from it. Got 2 speeding tickets in Duval county while I was there. Jacksonville is a hole, in a hole. I wouldn't go back if someone paid my bills.

I live in Palm Beach County and Iove it here. Now Miami I truly hate driving there because traffic is always shit, even on weekends.

Now this is a thread I can get behind! I get home from work and instantly pour myself a bourbon. I live in Coral Springs and work in Opa Locka Fri-Mon 7-5. Thank the sweet baby Jesus for the Sawgrass.. I commute in my 6 speed Mini Cooper on the weekdays and I’ll take the 350 to work on sat and sun. My favorite part of the week is driving south on sawgrass/75 at 6 in the morning. There’s no one out, and I can just relax and enjoy the ride. I avoid the 95 like the plague. I call it the gauntlet.. best of luck to you, and I can appreciate someone who is looking for a place to work based on their vehicle. Save the manuals!
