Dumbest Trend?

Wheels that are more than 2 inches taller on a modern car that came with low profile tires and small wheel wells(20" on a Mustang or Camaro), or more than 5" taller than one that came on a classic (higher profile tires like 60's-70's style cars). I guess I cap most car tires at 20" to look good. 26"-30" wheels just look stupid on a car. Also, calling wheels rims. Rim is and always has been the outer part of a wheel.

Laundry and dish washer detergents being wrapped in dissolvable clear plastic-like goo - that in some instances and based on brands - does not always "disappear".

Why did anyone think THAT is such a grand idea - when it's costing these Manufacturers MORE to create and/or wrap "pods", instead of just leaving detergents as is, as they were for the last 50-60+ years....

Water use and fines.
They didn't move to these more powerful smaller amount per use by choice, they were forced into it.
They much rather sell you a 100 ounce bottle of tide that does 20 loads over the 36 ounce bottle that does the same number of loads, or a bag of pods. High water use is a nono in todays day and age and to a business that used to use a ton of it in their product it got very costly, it is cheaper for them to use less water, and ship lighter/smaller product that can fit on one pallet. And let the end user supply the water when product is in use.
They can fit a ton more 19.99 packages of pods on a pallet than the could the old 100 ounce bottles. No one is going to buy a 20 load bottle for 19.99 instead of the 50 load pod package for 19.99 unless they have no choice (read laundry mat).

Having had good friends that were /are tow tuck drivers, I'll gladly look like a tool with tow hooks , than letting a yoyo tow truck driver hook the chain hooks to the underside of my vehicles. I store them in the trunk till needed, but I install them asap. Tow truck companies want a call on a hook asap, and off the truck so it can goto another call. fast never = good when you don't own the vehicle you are drag'n on the flatbed.
