Thoughts on these 4 Channel Amps?

So the factory amp will feed the audio signals into the M Four DSP high level inputs right? Then the DSP flattens the incoming signal and does all the processing before sending it to the speakers?

Are the Focal passive cross overs discarded then?

No, you fetch the signal before the factory amp. You need a harness for that, f.e. an adapted HRN-AR-FO3 harness from idatalink. Your installer should know how to modifiy a T-harness.
The exact procedure depends on if you got the shaker, B&O or base system.

I see... I have the 9 speaker Shaker system.

Curious, do the rear speakers also receive full range frequency signals or only the low range?

It is probably the best DSP amp in regards to DSP features. 30 band parametric EQ for each driver, virtual channels with 30 bands of parametric eq, allpass filters, automatic time alingment, variable phase shift in addition to time alignment, Center channel upmixer, 4 amplified channels and 6 more processes line outs (10 channel DSP!) and
much more.

Right now i don’t know any other DSP amp that is that good.

I wish this had been out already when I picked up my Audio Control DSP Amp. Eventually I hope to move the D.6-1200 to the Highlander and change the Mustang over to something based on the Helix, quite possibly this DSP/AMP. The fact that it has 6 more processed line outs is awesome...

What about this Alpine 8 channel amp instead? It can power all 8 speakers directly, supports 100w RMS each and has integrated DSP too.

I hadn't seen this one yet given its for the market outside the US, I didn't read through all specs but based on the video and Alpine's history its definitely worth looking into it. The app looked nice as well. Good luck on your journey, here's a link to an older discussion on it but you can't go wrong with Helix. The key is given where you are what's more easily sourced?

Yeah, with 8 x 100w RMS channels, I can run all six front speakers plus the two rear 8" subs off this single amp/DSP.

The equivalent 8 channel Helix amp/DSP is $2k... almost twice the cost of the Alpine! Ouch!

Still the Helix has the better DSP which is more important if you're really after the optimal sound quality. Helix has allpass filters and variable phase delay in addition to a global EQ through virtual channels, center channel upmixer, differential rear fill (if you really want to have rear fill that is). All important things that the Alpine doesn't have.
