He should have been in touch with the yard and requested that due to the lengthy hold that he'd like to see your car moved as soon as the yard is allowed to. Your dealer wouldn't get "any updated information" from Ford and if he isn't close with anybody at the railyard/transport company it's radio silence on his end. All he will get is an email or call to say a carrier has been dispatched. So to move things along, he needs to be on the phone pressuring them to move when they can and get that car to him.

As we understand it, Ford issued a “Stop Shipment Order” to the rail yards to hold on to some cars until an issue was resolved. The dealers were not informed as to why, etc. Everyone was in the dark.
Apparently, Ford lifted the Stop Shipment Order this week. We don’t know for how many cars, etc. But mine was released from the Mesquite rail yard today.
Dealers aren’t receiving any separate notice. They just have to contact the rail yard and see if their cars have been released. That’s what my dealer did and found out that mine had the Stop Shipment Order removed. No other notices were sent and my dealer knew nothing until I contacted them.

Just spoke to my dealer - he says it’s still pending ford performance to get onsite and fix my car! Darnit!!!!

He said he spoke to the regional rep and was guaranteed that when the car is clear by ford performance he would know and that ford performance is not done with their work. Who the heck knows!

Ford Performance doesn’t work on cars. They are a development, testing and marketing arm. They have little to do with production. That’s over to FRAP. The dealer should call the rail yard. My dealer hadn’t been told anything until I called them...

Absolutely Chairman! Ford Performance is a small division which has a focus on Performance Development and Racing. The Flat Rock Assembly Plant manufactures Mass Production Ford Mustangs and Lincoln Continentals. Yes, I said small division...

If they drop it off at 0-dark-thirty, have the transport driver take some pictures of the car on the trailer and off.

Dealership said they wouldn’t just drop it off so looks like tomorrow. I’m gonna call the transport company tomorrow and if they say it will be delivered tomorrow then I’m gonna head up there in the morning, about a 2 hour drive.

Can I get the info on how to track my car while it is on the rail car? I asked my dealer regarding some # needed on the DORA but wouldnt be able to get, so what other way is there?
