Got pulled over Sat night for Mod Exhaust

CHP pulled me over in the middle of town. He stated that I had modified exhaust of course he didn't believe me that it is bone stock. I was totally honest with him and showed him that my PP2 comes with adjustable exhaust from the factory. He said the referee will need to be the judge of that.

To make it worse he says "I know you were racing but I just can't prove it".

I'm trying to get the dealer to do an inspection of the exhaust tomorrow.

California must be an awesome place if the most constructive thing the cops have to do is write tickets for Loud noises.

Reads: California must be broke as hell if they are taxing the sweet sound of brand new American V8.

With all the new noise laws in the USA & abroad I wonder if the active exhaust option will be a thing of the past soon....

I'd say get a lawyer and fight it. Plus you're stock and that makes it even more ridiculous.

For a couple years I had an LSX 454 Vette with a huge cam, AR headers, no cats and mufflers in name only. My trouble avoidance method was: See Cop = push clutch pedal and retract right foot = no problems.

Last week, was getting off an offramp out in the SCV and CHP had pulled over someone and was about 100 yards to my right. He looked straight at me as I cruised by, (was in loud mode) I was pulling into a parking lot right across from him for my doctors appointment. When I left 45 minutes later, he was still there and looked at me again as I was pulling out of the driveway. This time I was on quiet mode and he had a perplexed look on his face as I got back on the on-ramp.
