No, but the main active ingredient was invented by my last company. MMT is a very effective octane booster, and the "Madditive" contains 3-5% of this. That's a high dose and it definitely makes this an off-road additive as far as legal marketing goes. My only warning is that you may not want to use it if you are worried about passing an emissions test. If you are cat-less and don't have emissions testing, go for it.

I had used the vp octane booster in every tank of fuel since i took my 2019 gt off the dealers lot in September. I cannot say for sure it was the cause but my driver side cat went bad with less than 3000 miles on it. I was installing long tubes anyway so i wasn't too concerned. I do feel it works, the tuner from Lund mentioned all my logs i sent in on 93 octane with vp did continue to add timing all the way through and he normally doesn't see that. I switched to e-85 so i no longer use it

There has been debate back and forth between the OEMs and the chemical manufacturers over whether MMT causes catalytic converters to clog. I have seen a lot of data that shows it doesn't, but the OEMs still have some correlation in their claims. I am not sure I would use really high doses for long periods of time if I cared about the cats. If you are going cat-less, or even looking into high flow cats, I would say you have nothing to worry about. Likewise if you only run the additive occasionally, for racing events and whatnot.

MMT definitely works. It's the best thing we have to increase octane since the end of tetraethyl lead.
