awesome man! congrats from JR560!Just picked up an '18 GT350R...aka "Ruby" ...traded in a 2015 Porsche 911 C4 GTS which was nice, but wanted to try something a little different. I've never owned an American car as an adult out of college, time to fulfill that Mustang dream since they are now obviously hitting it out of the park with the GT350 series. Nothing wrong with the rest of the line, either, these days!
The R must stand for "Reach," but my second choice (their GT350 in Kona w/white) would have worked fine, too. Third was a Bullitt. Still, I wanted something a bit more exotic, if that much more difficult to actually drive on the road! My recent test drive totally sold the car, btw. I suspect they basically sell themselves to those who enjoy performance driving: I road-raced motorcycles three seasons in the 1990s. Initial pictures:

Correct in your assumption! They warned me about the lot, too, and there is a "trick" to getting out (grin). It worked... my 911.1 C4 GTS was a scraper, too. I had a skid plate installed on the bottom that solved that for the most part, and well too.Congrats!!! Great color. I'm guessing it was from Pierre Ford. I considered that car but it was still in transit. I went for a used 2017 out of state. Transport was a major pain but love the car. I test drove a SB 350 at Pierre and scraped coming out of the lot :-). The R is even lower.
Enjoy and watch that front splitter.
Just curious.....what brand of hood struts did you install in the Shelby? And...would you do it again on your 2019??Just unloaded this waiting for my 19R.
They are Redline and yes they are going on my 19R, they worked perfect.Just curious.....what brand of hood struts did you install in the Shelby? And...would you do it again on your 2019??
beautiful. so what is the short story?Ditched the 1LE (long story) and picked this up:
so she loves the shelby much more?Ugh I've typed 3x responses and deleted all of them. Let's just say this was the smoother choice between me and the girlfriend.
ZL1 1LE---I LOVED IT except when I was driving on a, you know, road
ZL1 1LE--Girlfriend HATED IT, you know, everywhere.
I currently work outside of the US. So now and then I would have to BEG her to drive the LE, just to DRIVE IT, you know? Not let it sit, service, etc. She hated it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and here I am.
Props to girlfriend though.
