You don't have to watch this to have a better day but it helps.

I had the misfortune of discovering the contractors that redid my garage siding left an opening which allowed mice to get into my garage a couple of winters ago. I had covered my 68 GT 350 but left the window down a bit for ventilation. Those rodents climbed up the inside of the car cover and through the open window then made a nest in the back of the car in my club jacket. Yes, the smell of mouse urine was obvious. Apparently that is how the lead mouse tells his friends the way to the nest. I took it to a detail shop for help getting the smell out. He told me it was 50/50 at best. Said the best way to get rid of the smell was to burn the car. He laughed. I didn't. He cleaned the car out and used some stuff that smelled almost as bad as the urine. It has taken a couple of years and some setting in the hot sun to pretty much get rid of the smell. I found the hole they came into the garage and filled it. I definitely am using more aggressive actions to discourage mice from being around my cars in the garage.

I have found that putting a package of moth balls on the floor of my garage under the engine area discourage all types pf vermin. Especially if it's covered.

Another good thing is to get some peppermint oil and just put some dabs in the insulation under your engine cover.....

Moth balls work. I live in Ocala national forest. since I've been doing this I have no insects, snakes or mice near my car, or in my shed which was a snake magnet

Moth balls work, but can cause health issues. Peppermint oil is great, but needs more effort.
