looks like a black sponge in a plastic cage on one side. get a stanley knife and/or hacksaw blade and just chop it out

mine was injection moulded / heat bonded to 4 little legs and all along one side of the filter lid impossible to yank off had to be cut off couldn't even get my big claws under it

Haha i have had one that was a bit tougher in a 17 plate shadow but it still pulled off just needed more of a tugging lol!

Just a PMAS CAI, but as mentioned, removing the carbon trap from the stock airbox & using a decent filter in there will give near enough the same result.
