18k from carsmacks to buy it. Ford offered 17.8.So they are offering you somewhere around $17k trade in?
Smart move! You’re the first I heard didn’t like the A10. It’s certainly been converting manual owners including me. It’s amazing how fast I can get to freeway speeds without even trying. In previous MT82 GT with the 3:73’s the gears were so short it seemed like every mini van and SUV would beat me to the speed limit unless I really put my foot and arm into it.I pulled the trigger and purchased the premium care with 6/60 from Flood Ford for 710.00. I figure it is cheap insurance for another 3 years.
The dealership gave me an 18 to drive and I didn't care for the A10 and the hood/front end just looks odd to me.
The early Valencia's like mine with the ZF/6R80 and the PP 3.55 runs 0-60 in the 5.2 range (on 93 octane) so there isn't much improvement with the A10 which I believe runs just under 5. The early Valencia's had a more agressive tune from the factory than Cleveland, or so it has been rumored. This is why the newest Turbos with 350 pound of torque and the A10 is about the same to 60 as the Valencia's.Smart move! You’re the first I heard didn’t like the A10. Actually the A10 will easily beat that 5.2 sec by at least a full second (3.9 sec has been achieved by some drivers, low 4’s probably more realistic) and it also skips gears when the situation warrants. I have noticed mine doesn’t always shift through each and every gear. The early Valencia's like mine with the ZF/6R80 and the PP 3.55 runs 0-60 in the 5.2 range (on 93 octane) so there isn't much improvement with the A10 which I believe runs just under 5. The A10 has too many gears for country driving for my personal taste. I think an 8 would have been a better choice.
While I have not cemented my decision to stick with the Mustang I just can't seem to find anything to fill the shoes of our current Mustang.
If you go with the shifter in S or you drive in s+ the Trans won’t go above 9th unless you force it with your upshift paddle. Once you press the gas again it goes down to 3rd or 7th, depending on how much power you want. Then it will go up to 9th again if it sense that you want to go back cruising. Highway 9th gear at 70mph is around 2,500RPM, so the car is waiting for you ready to keep going. The early Valencia's like mine with the ZF/6R80 and the PP 3.55 runs 0-60 in the 5.2 range (on 93 octane) so there isn't much improvement with the A10 which I believe runs just under 5. The EB/PP is a 3.9 second car with the A10? I think you are talking about the GT with the A10. I am comparing Ecoboost to Ecoboost.Actually the A10 will easily beat that 5.2 sec by at least a full second (3.9 sec has been achieved by some drivers, low 4’s probably more realistic) and it also skips gears when the situation warrants. To reach 4.9 in the EB (Fords Claim) other than having the perfect weather, you need a perfect driver and EB Premium PP, A10 and Magneride. That’s at least 37k and most people don’t want to spend that amount for a EB. Mine was 40k msrp without magneride, I don’t think I can do that 4.9 0-60mph.The EB/PP is a 3.9 second car with the A10? From what I have read, the EB/PP with the A10 and 350 trq is around 5 which is about the same as the early Valencia's.
Oh, sorry about that! I wasn’t thinking. I was referring to the GT. This is what you have to look forward to as you approach your 70th as I am! Ha,ha!The EB/PP is a 3.9 second car with the A10? I think you are talking about the GT with the A10. I am comparing Ecoboost to Ecoboost.

I work from home so the only thing I rock is an office chair. The wife rocks the Mustang Turbo all summer and switches to the Hyundai Santa Fe Turbo during our short, mild winter. I have nothing against the 5.0, I just happen to prefer Turbo's over NA engines and the 5.0 is too much power for the wife to handle. The Mustang 2.3 with the performance package is a really fun car on country roads, gets decent enough gas mileage for my wife's commute, and has been problem free for 3 years.Indeed.
Congratulations on deciding to keep the Mustang. The EB's are great cars and give a nice blend of performance and economy. I actually was shopping for an '18 EB base model when I bought my GT. It came down to a Lightning Blue EB or my Kona Blue GT in the end. Got a great deal on the GT to make it worth it. To each their own, but I would have had no problem rocking an EcoBoost either.
