So, I have 20 inch foundry wheels which are 9 inches wide. I know DRs are better on smaller wheels, but would like a dr that would fit.

I have had nitto 555 DRs before and they were actually not very sticky even when heated. But I'd like to keep the Ford OEM rims and just switch the rears when I go to the DS.

So, I am looking at the stickiest tire for the strip that will fit on a second set of the stock foundry 20x9 wheels.

The torque of the sc LMS put on makes it hard to launch.

I had the 555r's on my GTO. Are you sure you were heating them enough? I mean I would burn them for at least 15 seconds. They will get sticky. It was a n/a six speed with bolt ons and a cam, and I could cut a 1.80 60' with the Nitto's (and they were only 275's). Other good dr's are the Nitto NT05R or M/T Streets.

I don't have any advice for you OP other than please dont do a burnout for 15 seconds on drag radials.

Why? You had to get the 555r's really hot! It's in the waterbox, line lock on, release when you can't see anything. It may not be the best on the rear end, but how else can you justify 3.91's? :D

Try the Toyo proxes. I have a friend with a 640wheel hp m3. He uses them and cuts 1.7 sixties. You won’t do much better than that. With out going to a smaller diameter wheel and better compound.

Very few drag radial choices in 20 inch.
I am going to put M&H 275/50r/17 Drag Radials on ForgeStar F14 9.50X17 Drag Wheels on the rear my 2017 Whipple Mustang Gt with Auto Trans.I just do not want a huge drag radial on my car.
