I like them both, but starting to prefer the 18... has nothing to do with the fact I ordered one :D:cheers::ford:

I completely agree with you. Pictures are so deceiving. In these pics the 2018 actually looks quite nice. However, when I took my 2017 to the dealership last weekend and parked it beside a 2018 GT for my own first hand side by side comparison, 100% of the people who where just walking around the lot and kicking tires commented on my 2017, not the new 2018 and wanted to buy mine over the 2018, until I told them it wasn't one of the sale cars on the lot, it was mine. Once they found out it was a 2017 they couldn't figure out where Ford's head was at with the exterior changes to the 2018. AKA they all, without exception, thought the 2018 looked wimpy and physically smaller than the 2017 ... their exact words not mine. And I'm referring to 20 different people over the span of 15 mins.

To be honest that's exactly what I thought too ... whimpy looking. I was really disappointed in the side by side face to face comparison. :headbonk: I was hoping it was better. I sure hope the 2019 GT 500 looks good in the flesh, so far the teaser pictures look pretty good, but until in the flesh we just can't tell.

I actually like the front of the 2017 better myself (and I have a 2018 on order). Now the ass end, that's a different story. There's no comparison there.

Everyone has their own opinions, but I can't see how this looks wimpy.

Really even in pictures the front is not so different. Most non mustang people won t notice it.
I like the rear of my 2018 with the quad tips

Wimpy....yup...;)

My observations between my old car and new car looking at it from the front.

2017 has more of a muscular appearance as the 2018 has a much more aggressive, sporty appearance. I prefer either.

Mustangs have had a history of being a rolling brick. The big front end was a trademark of the brand to house the larger engines. Watch the hood continue to drop as the engines get smaller. Like Japanese hoods are always were. Great visibility because the engines were tiny.

I like the pre 2018 front end as it is most decidedly “Mustang”!

The front end doesn't look much smaller than this:

They all say Mustang to me.

But check the slope. From the windshield they all are substantial hoods. Says the guy who actually drove Mustangs from those eras. Make no mistake Ford is gradually trying to change the Stang into a sports car from muscle car. If not already.

The hood on my 18 is quite substantial too. They all say Mustang.

And outside of the 70, I've also driven Mustangs from those eras - 86 LX, 97 Cobra, and now the 18. The only Mustang that doesn't say Mustang is the Mustang 2 from the 70's (and while I didn't drive one, Mom had a 78).

I am not seeing it - the Fox bodies were pretty short-hooded and sloped as far as I can tell:

Same with the SN95s:

In comparison, the '18 looks a little larger and more substantial to me:

Those are the best Kona blue pictures I have seen.
