Received my spare tire from Automotive Authority today. They have done a well executed solution for a spare tire. The spacer is nicely done and the tire/wheel combination is perfect. Plenty of caliper clearance (about 3/8") on the front wheel. They even included the center cap with a hole in it for attaching it in the trunk. I will be working on that set-up this weekend with the jack and lug wrench I had purchased elsewhere. Good piece of mind in any case.

I had been watching this and then forgot all about it. My car was away for winter anyways. Just ordered it. Thank you for the pictures and test fitting

I tried to mount this in my spare tire well but its too large. I then fully deflated the tire and its still sits up about an inch into the trunk (with nothing under it at all). If fully inflated, it won’t fit as the diameter is too large.
I sent them a note to see what’s up. But the tire has the same size noted in other pictures.
Can’t imagine that the GT350 has a smaller tire well than other Mustangs...

In the video on their website, you can hear the spare squeak pretty good when he removes it. Sounds like a tight fit. I'd imagine it needs to be pushed down pretty hard.

Certainly looks like a tight fit on their website

Maybe try a piece of thin plastic sheet (garbage bag or like the type used for covering cars in a paint shop to avoid overspray) as this will reduce friction between the tire and painted metal.

I conversed with Automotive Authority (the vendor) and they recommended to set the tire pressure at 32lbs, and rub the tire with soapy water before installation.
I set the pressure and rubbed the sides of the spare tire well with silicon, and it slipped right in.
Still pretty snug, but the floor is now flat.
Will have to inflate to the 61lbs after installation when used.
So I am good to go.
BTW: The vendor was instantly responsive and very helpful. Good people.

Good to know. Thanks for the update. Is there enough room for the factory air compressor back there as well?

Afraid not. There is the normal room under the wheel for the standard jack & handle. But that air compressor that comes with the GT350 won’t fit — I tried.
I have it wrapped up in a blanket in the trunk so it won’t rattle around.

Wonder if there is a small compressor that will fit....

I have a small one I take on motorcycle trips... I just ordered the spare tire kit too, so I may see if that one will fit.

For bikes they have C02 tire inflators. How many cartridges would it take to bring the spare up from 32psi to 61psi? If it is not too many that would be very light and should prove reliable.

So - just to be clear. This will fit a 350/350R if you deflate it and will fit on the staggered set up of an R with the Brembo brakes - front or rear (includes spacer)?

Just received mine. Full kit with spacer and jack. Wheel fits in the well snugly and did not have to deflate it. Trunk liner fits fairly flat to the trunk floor. Happy with the extra peace of mind this kit affords during long road trips.

^^^ I see no reason this wouldn't work on an R.

UPDATE: Another satisfied customer here... As mentioned above, I ordered the wheel & tire kit late Sunday night--after 8:30 p.m., Easter Sunday. It's Wednesday afternoon, and the kit was sitting in my driveway when I got off work this evening. Automotive Authority is in Raleigh, NC, and I'm a little bit west of Indianapolis. Very happy with the speed of their service and the quality of the product.
