Roush super charger running rich?

My 2016 Mustang GT with the Roush supercharger, phase 2 will run rich at normal cruising speed when I back off the gas coming up to a stop light. I’ll get a small backfire and looking at my air/fuel indicator, it will read 10.1 -10.5 and then go back to normal. I'm currently running the Roush tune, so I may get it re-tuned by either Lund or VMP. Has anyone experienced this? I just don’t know if this is a normal behavior. I haven’t checked plugs yet or done any troubleshooting.

Following your topic. I actually have a question on this line, is it possible to tune over ROush calibration? I understood that this was not possible as roush tune is encrypted?

yes, they can overwrite the tune. a lot of folks have had good results by doing so. this will be the next avenue for me.

As stated, yes you can overwrite it. You just can't upload it and save it for later because it is encrypted. If you overwrite it and want it back for some reason you have to either send the PCM back to Roush or take the car to an authorized Roush installer.

Mine didn't run rich, it just didn't run as well as it could for the first 500 boosted miles with the Roush tune. Driveability was fine out of the box though. The Roush (even the Phase 2) is conservatively tuned for 91 octane. If you go with a custom tune, especially one for 93 octane, you will definitely notice a difference.
