Help Me Decide: Sell Whipple for Twins?

I'm tossing the idea around of the stg2 6060 or waiting for the gears my self. I spoke to Ben as well. I wonder how much the billet gears will be. I recently toned down my build plans last we spoke about th400s and glides. I got to thinking that being a high 7 second street car is a lonely place to be. Not sure what I was thinking. Guess i was still applying track mentality. No point in spending so much if no one is a challenge enough to use it all. Let alone many in general. Looking for 8.5s to 8.8s in the 160-163 range. I'm used to rowing into the mid 8s

Awesome. I'll keep my eye out. I hope the ratios options are 2.97s or slightly higher. I cant use anything lower then 2.97s

Torque rating is said to be 900 ft lbs whichbis 200 higher than a m magnum xl.

Damn. That's lower than the stg2 6060s I believe. :( I his stg3 mt82s had higher than that I thought.

Nah. A stock 6060 is 700ftlbs. Stg1 is around the 900s if I recall correctly

You guys beat on that car pretty hard from what I've seen in the videos, so how is it that your tranny survived with the RXT and many others have broken there's shortly after installing that clutch ?

I mean we had the vehicle for about a year and we beat on it really hard the entire time owning it and ended up selling the vehicle. Customer that purchased hasn't had an issue either.

I'm not sure on the 6060 but I think 900 is pretty good and it should hold a good amount of power I'd say 1000 to 1200 rwhp if I had to guess.

I'm not saying it's bad, its just less than I had hoped. I was hoping to be comparable to stg2 6060 for a bit less money and easier convenience.

Yes. I talked to him about it before going th400. He said he rates at 1300+ hp but has a few 1500+ cars beating on them with no issue.

From speaking with Ben he told me he has a stg2 in a 1600hp Shelby. He also said nobody has broken this stage yet.
