I just installed BMR sways all the way around and first let me say me say the car feels awesome!!!! I've since ordered a few more pieces :)

My question is around others who have a Stage 2 PC kit and the BMR front sway SB044.

Last night I made a few pulls in Mexico and when it was over I popped the hood to shown the guy my set up. I noticed right away the sway bar made contact with the front pulley...

This morning I loosened all the bolts, got a bitch stick and pried the sway bar as far forward as possible and re tightened the bolts.

There is obviously a chance this solves the problem but the sway bar looked to be almost as far forward as possible all ready but maybe not.

Is anyone running the BMR sways with an S2 PC kit and have you had an issue with it making contact? If so how did you resolve? Would aftermarket motor mounts solve the issue?

I really don't want to pull the sway out; it made a huge difference!! But I can't have it making contact either causing a belt snap or worse the crank to bust because of the contact point being so low.

Open for ideas..pics below show the spacing and contact point. Thanks!!

Two items never tested by each manufacturer together! haha somebody gotta be a guinea pig. Have to settle for a pony. Could you shim the sway bar to ride slightly lower to spare some wiggle room, or loosen the motor mounts to shift the engine back slightly?

Lol this is what happens when you wann go fast but like to turn too...should of just picked one lol

Can't lower the sway any further as I didn't even add the small washers they provided when I did the install. It looks like I may be able to lower the motor to add clearance but that can cause issues with intercooler piping etc...

I pried the shit out of the bar to ensure the mounts are all the way forward this AM. Added some touch up to the pulley and am going to make a few hits and hard turns to see if it touches again. If it does I might be giving away a sway bar as I am sure no one wants to buy one with a small grind mark on the inside :(

Let me do some brainstorming.

Prob happens with a hard nose dive and the sway bar rotates slightly. Not lower the engine, but towards the rear any at all.

I can get it off the ground, and see if I have any room to push the motor back on the mounts. I am assuming only a couple of militeters might be there though if any.

Not sure if notching the bar will cause any structural integrity issues since it's hollow. Maybe I can make anotch and have someone weld in a small plate to close it back up...

Hasn't been...I moved the sway bar forward a few millimeters but left out of town right after. Just got back last night. I am planning on taking it out and hammering on it in the turns and then from a roll like I was doing the night it made contact. If it touches again it is coming out.

I only mess with stock stuff, so I don't know. :(

I know that we did testing for hard braking and wheels up launches to make sure our pulley cleared the stock bar.

BMR will get it sorted, but not really their issue either. I doubt they designed it around blower pulleys. :)

Offset bushing insert inside the mount? As in thicker in back (closest to the pulley), and thinner in front?
