Anyone had their car mistaken for another make

Was at my car's favourite watering hole (the local Shell garage) and was asked by two girls (in the local Essex twang) "That cars well nice innit, what is it? Is it a Ferrari?" To which I replied, no it's a Mustang. They went oh cool, didn't know Ferrari made Mustangs :doh:

"nice Ferrari" i've had a lot of times being red as well...

and more recently a girl at work "Ah you off to drive your dodge this weekend?" Got a scathing look and she was like Dodge? Camaro? Mustang... All look the same lol.

It's just occured to me next time someone asks what it is I'm going to tell them it's a Reliant Robin.

Think most people under the age of 30 won't know what they actually are and hopefully it will give their mates a damn good laugh when they do an image search to show them the "well nice car innit".

Others are like, what is that? A GT?

since not many layman folk know what this is or what its capable off, I get a lot of people on the lights who try and undertake me and the car behind me in their "fast" cars.

Those who do know what it is and have realised what its capable of (5.0, doesn't apply to 2.3T lol) wait for me to set off. Its a nice feeling.

I was at the Badger pub in Petworth the other week (great food) and barged my way into the best parking spot by the front door. After dinner when I was heading back to the car, some old buzzard next to me said "lovely car, is it a Nissan?" I said "certainly not" so forcefully that he apologised and then I got embarrassed and had to backpedal. That cost me five minutes of painstakingly showing every mod.

More often I get the other extreme, people know it's a Mustang and are fascinated to know all about it.
