I actually learned something from this crash course thanksCRASH COURSE
The new Mustang is slated to come out for the 2015 MY and the platform name is said to be S550, replacing the current S197. IRS will be gained, but weight will be lost. Ford's goal is to shed 200-300 LBS off the car depending on trim IIRC. Retro will be out, and Evos Kinetic will be in, but it will keep all of the traditional Mustang bits: long hood, short deck, RWD, and affordable. EcoBoost will be seen in this generation, most likely as a four-pot. Displacement is still unknown. The fate of the V6 is still unknown, but recent spy pix have given the wonderful Duratec hope. V8 is not going anywhere. An all-new interior is going to debut, obviously with MFT.
I actually chopped a chop from Chin. He made it into a convertible, I just elongated the hood. Check it for yourself.

I'll do that tonight after work!I actually learned something from this crash course thanksDidn't know the name of the new S550 platform.
You should make this a new thread and have it sticky'd or something so noobs can catch it.
It will NOT look Retro...Instead it will be a 2014 Model, have round Head Lights and look like a Fusion-Aston Martin-Evos-->So what do you guys think about the Mustang ditching the retro styling in favor of a more futuristic styling for the 6th generation Mustang?
Wall Street Journal has reported that:
Mustang Makeover: What Does Ford Have in Mind?
Now, Ford Motor Co. is betting it is time to hit the brakes on the retro trend, and shift its focus to a younger generation.
But Ford is working on radical makeover of its signature youth-market car, people familiar with Ford’s plans said. The next generation would retain the shark-nosed grille and round headlights, but would look more like the new Ford Fusion than the current Mustang, these people said.
The new Mustang is due as a 2014 model, and will look somewhat like an Aston Martin, the high-price sports car often featured in James Bond movies. People who have seen the new Mustang said it is almost a body double for the Evos concept car that Ford showed at the Frankfurt auto show last fall,
There's no harm in it; it's better than having multiple threads on the same subject.Dude.....talk about a thread revival. This thing is walking dead right here. 2012 was first post..2014 was last...and not a single thing is relevant to todays market
