I was told today by my dealer that the 2018 Mustang order banks open on June 12th. Anyone hear anything any different?

Last year it was in April, but they may have pushed it back due to the new body style and new options.

June has been confirmed by many folks including my dealer. First I've heard the 12th though. Can't wait for that day to arrive. Excited to see the official order guide, too.

Based on my experience each MY is different but can tell you that last year I had my VOC for HR019 in late April with it being assembled on June 3rd.

Who knows what will happen for the 2018MY but after conversations with a number of people at various Ford dealerships yesterday they tell me that they have already gotten their 2018 allocations for GT350's and GT350R's.

Could it be they are trying to get rid of as many 2016/2017 that have set at dealerships for months that couldn't be sold because of the oil cooler line recall? I know I got a great deal trading in my 2016 tech pack on a 2017 my dealership located with the same interior (convenience pkg.) a few weeks ago that had been sitting at another dealership since late summer last year cause they couldn't sell it. And got low production number (583) plus the original color I wanted (white/blue stripes). Mine was (blue/black stripes) Be interesting to see how low they will have to cut the price to sell my 2016 that's back sitting in the same spot on the showroom floor with 3,000 miles on it now that this class action law suit thing is going.

Probably one of the forum members who works at a dealership would know this but wonder how many 16/17s are on lots unsold out of a relatively low number (?12,000) built for those two years and if that will impact how many are built for 2018 and beyond. Can't imagine Ford wants these sold at invoice but who knows. Could be market is saturated even at MSRP already.

Maybe...they're changing to the new 2018 5.0 lights...and maybe incorporating some GT500 pieces. If there's going to be a 500, the two cars having some of the same production parts would reduce production cost...???...just a thought.
