Friend of mine told me he saw a crashed 17 reg RR Mustang in between the roundabout at Tesco and the roundabout to Culloden near Inverness on Saturday morning. Hope they are ok. Said looks like the car rolled and was firmly embedded in the embankment on the side of the road.

Will be this shitty weather, people get sense of false security when they see the sun out, fact is the temperature is still around 0c and the roads of wet/greasy.

Its slippery out there!
I drove to Watford and back yesterday in heavy rain, I just put the car in wet mode made for a relaxing drive and on the way home I had fun with what was a Focus RS group, the Mustang did me proud with leaving everyone of them in their dust including one that had 400 stickers on its rear-end, needless to say he was soon looking at my rear. :D

Though even in wet mode I still got the car hugely sideways on a roundabout exit, done on purpose mind but even in that mode if you attack hard you can still get a big slide going on. :D

I am by no means a drifter but do like speed - who doesn't? So even if the sun is out nowadays, my car is in Wet/Snow mode all the time. and I treat it as if the road is actually wet.
It'll probably take me a year of driving this to come too terms with the power and only then will I ever try Sport+ mode:D

Just get more and more used to it matey, I went into Sport+ mode about 4 months after owning the car, ask Gibbo how resistant I was when I drove his to put it in track mode (i'd had my car about 1-2 months at this point). Mine still to this day hasn't gone into track mode or has it has Adv-Trac off !

The other morning I was taking my kids down a back road and well under the 100K limit. I was taking it slow due to low temps and fog. When I came up on a curve I felt it loose traction for a second or two. I regained grip and adjusted prior to sliding into the oncoming lane or worse off the road.

Had I been going faster, how knows where we would had ended up.

17 reg, probably straight out of the dealers then powered onto the first fast bit and things quickly went arse over tit! Poor owner!

As for Sport+ - it scares the bejesus out of me! Normal mode for me at all times... apart from once when a wee sooped-up Corsa tried to race!

the pzero's seem very susceptible to aquaplaning even without power.

I was on the way back from barnsley to doncaster yesterday on M1 south bound was raining/had rained that heavy motorway was basically a river. Hit one patch and just gone not even any power down

Drove the same stretch yesterday around 13:00, on PS4S no issues at all through the rivers on M1/M6 at around 80mph, but they are also brand new so got the full 6-7mm tread depth, yep Michelin come with less tread but not an issue because they last twice as long as most other tyres anyway.

Still only used normal mode so far as waiting for the magical 1K miles to be out of the way, then oil change and try out some of the other modes.

Not so easy to just stamp on the go faster pedal over here as no motorways/dual carriageways/bypasses, and a 40mph island wide speed limit and an ever increasing amount of 20-30mph zones, 15mph green lanes (yeeeuuuuch) and bloody speed bumps... and Mr Plod just loves hiding in the hedges and round corners waiting for cars like these... especially when they've got loud exhausts and announce their arrival long in advance!

Hopefully get to some UK/EU meets during the course of the year to give me a chance to 'play' with it (the car) a little!

WOT is generally only achievable over here in the likes of a Skoda Citgo or Toyota IQ... but who cares anyway... the Mustang sounds good even when it's parked!

Does sport+ really make much difference? I leave mine in standard mode most of the time. When I tried sport+ I didn't really notice anything different!
