What's your experience driving around town at lights, stop signs, traffic and so on? I'm kind of on the fence of getting one just because of normal driving experience.

Feels like stock just driving around until you hit the gas pedal. Then you need to hold on for dear life..........

Don't let the "like stock" trolls fool you. There is definitely a noticeable change in the way the car drives.

Nothing unpleasant, I personally like the change and have 0 issues stalling / surging.

LOL what the F&^K does that video prove? Soooooo your saying......When you give it throttle. The RPMs go up? Who woulda thunk?:headbonk: OP go to the other converter thread recently opened in this section. And ask the guy with the pro charger running 9s what he thinks .His set up is closest to yours.

I put a 5C in my 2017. Like everyone said... it takes just a little bit of getting used to. Its sooooo much more fun now in 2nd gear, rpm's holding around 4000 and MASH the gas..... you will smile and smile....

OP is looking for honest feedback on a converter. If you think the car drives "like stock", well you may just be a little more special than I thought.
The video shows how the car does not drive "like stock". Drivability is not bad, it's just night and day from the factory converter. It takes more rpms to keep up with traffic. But gets into the power band a lot quicker when you do go WOT.

Will the stall converter have a negative effect on the highway like passing someone or a rolling race?

Circle D is a lock up converter. It will be exactly like stock at highway speeds when passing. Don't let one reject scare you away with a random youtube video of an idiot doing 10 miles an hour in a getto neighborhood. If you plan to do all of your driving at 15 miles an hour or less. A converter is horrible. For the rest of the normal people out there a converter is the best mod you can do to an automatic transmissioned car.

Yep, a converter is the best mod you can do with an auto outside of F/I. And if tuned right it will fell no different than stock. Don't fear the converter!

Sweet! You'll be at least 1/2 a second faster at the drag strip with the parts you mentioned.

I also went with 17s! Went from hoosier slicks to et street R drag radials, can't wait to see how much of a difference they make at the track.

How did you end up w a 3C? Did you ask the guys over at circle D? They suggested exactly what I wanted to go with.
