Blimey, I think that makes about 5 of us so far :D
don't worry there will be plenty others ready to buy. rental car companies don't care about looks so they will be in line with the high school girls that also don't know anything, but like the idea its called a mustang.

the rest of us however, sobbing all the way to the chevy/dodge dealers to settle. what a disaster lol

This is the same reaction when the 2015 was shown.

It's confused on what it wants to look like except to not look like a mustang. The design cues just resemble to many other manufacturers and it's not cohesive and looks rushed.
Same could be said about the '15. Front end looked like an after-thought and they just tacked the Fusion on it.

Just google the '15 and you'll see the reactions...its ugly, sales will suck, what was Ford thinking....it's always the same thing.

So, I had an accident a couple months back, and when I got my car back after repairs, I washed it. While I was washing the front, I noticed something wasn't right with my lower grill. What is this ugly hunk of plastic doing on my car?! I've since had it replaced with the correct one, but I couldn't find that ugly thing in any pictures of current 2015-2017 models. Now, I think I know where it came from... it was for a 2018! Sorry for the crappy photo quality.

Also, I'm totally not feeling the look of the '18 front at all. I'm seeing that Lexus hour-glass look combined with prius-like brake vents? No... just, no.

I loved this gen from the start but that front end is hideous! Well it looks like I'll be waiting for 2020 or whatever to upgrade

It's the adaptive cruise control lower grill.

That's the lower grille for S550s (15-17) with ACC and/or block heaters

Roush look like crap on the '15-17, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

It's like some designers from Toyota took the Ford designers out for drinks and convinced them that Vanilla was the best flavour of ice cream...

Another leak - the design reference for the 2018 Mustang GT!

Hahahaha

I literally laughed out loud at this.

But yeah, the redesign is just not good. Boo Ford, you screwed this one up.

I think the front end will grow on me. I love the raised hood spears on my 2015. I added the GT/CS fade stripes that really bring out those lines. This new hood so far does not flow, just flat, in my opinion. In person I hope it looks better. I was expecting a more dramatic look (even the Focus RS looks more aggressive). Still in love with my 2015 and would not trade up. I do like the style of new rear spoiler, just a bit too tall. Off to watch the Dodge Demo video again...

I think you meant for the '15 since it's been referred to the catfish face.

I like it in red. Brought out the dark colors here more and up'd the saturation.

The reason it looks alright in these photos is because you're only showing half of the front. I remember people saying they didn't like the 2015 because it looked like a Fusion etc and remember thinking how deluded they were as it looked nice. But sorry if this is the refresh it looks a droopy Bulldog, not good Ford.

He's 3 years late...this image has been around since the '15 design. That's where the current front design got the inspiration.
