Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the full technical manual for this car? This is not the user manual but rather what the techs at dealerships use. It shows every single procedure and outlines torque figures etc for all components. I know it costs money, just want to get the right one.

Thanks.

The best resource for true OEM level information is: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/Home/Index

You can subscribe or just get the manual for a couple days and download what you want. It's the most up to date information, includes TSB, as builts, access to any Ford Model during the subscription. I just buy the 3 day one when I need something and download what I can. $21.95 is really cheap for 72 hours. I have signed up 3 different times and have a computer full of files. You just print to pdf's, name them what you want. Tedious but I'm sure there are programs that could do it more effectively.

Or Helm.com to purchase the CD. More money up front but you have the service procedures. You do not have access to any of the other info.

Thank you, this is very useful. I will check it out.

I just got my helm CD. I looked up the brake pad R&R procedure. Looks very useful, complete with CAD images.

Also, checked owner.ford.com for the oil cooler recall, which showed up. I didn't see anything obvious there regarding TSBs, though.

Anyone got a way to access TSBs for free?

What's the advantage of motorcraftservice's subscription over the helm CD? Correct me if I'm wrong but helm cd is $177 but it has everything vs the other is $72 but you only get it for 3 days, I dont think you can download the entire thing in those 3 days so you have to keep coming back.

You have a 16 GT350 Track pack like mine, did you get the 2016 Helm Mustang CD item # FCS1294616? Does the Tech info seem complete including the GT350 components?

A lot of money if it doesn't have adequate details on our car, fair if it is thorough & complete to include the GT 350.

Thanks for feedback!

It's $21.95 for 72 hours (3 days) and I have everything I need on the Mustang, Shelby, Focus ST and Focus RS.

You can plug in a VIN get all TSB/Service letters specific to your car, as builts. I used to always buy the CD but $177 is a lot more than $21.95 even a few times a year.

You have the correct part number. I actually called Helm to ask them if it covered the GT350. It does. I looked through it a little more tonight and engine, tranny, oil coolers are covered. I'm pretty confident that it will do the trick.

Factory Shop Manual

Thank You--

That is what i needed to know, got it ordered. Since this manual will stay with my bucket list car, well worth the money for me to have the correct factory info.

Comparison, the BMW shop manual for my 2001 Mini was over $600 retail, found one used in new condition for $100 for my 10 year old Mini (now owned by daughter). I also had a new SHO, 93, first year with A/T as a work driver in Seattle traffic. Now own a 92 SHO stick which we bought for towing behind our RV, like the stick shift Mini. (Just noticed your car list)

Hope you are enjoying your car as much as I am mine. The perfect 50 Year reiteration of the original GT350 with just enough modern tech. Won't be the same with the 10 speed A/T, just too modern for my enjoyment. Wish i could have found (afforded!) an R with the Radio Delete, never plan on turning mine on. Nothing as good as the sound of this engine! Just getting ready to do my 1k mile oil change myself this week. First chance to crawl under and enjoy the best view of this amazing machine! A lot more machine than my first new car, 66 Mustang Coupe, 6 Cyl with 3 Speed Stick, it came with the optional radio which got used a lot in the 60's!

Looking forward to a Spring Track Attack to get some professional pointers on enjoying this car.

Thanks again for the heads up on the manual, just what i want. :ford:

Is there a way to get part numbers from the service CD or the motorcraftservice.com website?

Thanks,

Ford Service CD

Is there a way to get part numbers from the service CD or the motorcraftservice.com website?

Thanks,

H
When i researched this initially, everything on Ford sites referred me to Helm. They seem to be the software/CD manufacturer/supplier for Ford.

The FPS # listed above was only number found. Believe it is the same detail you get on the motorcraftservice.com website & subscriptions.

Have yet to use mine, some concerns over running with Windows 10 and future Windows upgrades? Bucket List car for me, wanted this service info file for future ref. Amazing car as a 50th Anniv of original GT350!
