Here is another 1 of 1 2016 Mustang (Petty's Garage) convertible that was built specifically for the owner of the dealership.

At 727 HP it was a handful especially with the cooler weather this weekend and tires that never seemed to warm up.

Also the best shifter feel I have felt for a long time.

7-8 years from today, this car will be worth over sticker. Mark my words.

People on EBay already think theirs are too.

On another note, I wish ford used real sticthing on the dash as they did on this one. Red for GT350R and silver for GT350. Just not blue. All other s550 mustangs use molded dashes with simulated sticthing. I was going to do the samething last winter with mine until I noticed its part of the whole dash.

In 7-8 years, probably 95% of the cars on the street will have forced induction. There will be no more naturally aspirated sports cars. Its already only Porsche GT3 and this car and we all know the next generation of these cars will be forced induction.

I'm not disagreeing with you. But today people already think the R is worth twice the sticker price.

Supply and demand! I'm sure there are people out there that want it now and will pay whatever they have to to get it now. The more money people get it seems like the less patients they have and aren't willing to wait 6 to 8 months or more for something even if they can get it for less money. How many have gone for > $100k already? I bet quite a few. What gets me is the stupid money for a base R when you could get a loaded non R and do say what you've done and just upgrade certain parts from an R

R upgrades don't come cheap. .

- Wheels are $4K/ea. maybe more.
- Cup 2 tires $2K
- Spoiler is $12K
- Front splitter $6K +
- Rear Seat Delete kit $775

Don't know what the suspension bits cost or cost to install and ship all this stuff, but just a quick list your spending $37K buying the parts. That's why if you can score an R model for a decent deal it's much more worth it than building a clone.

I bought a trackpack as to keep my 15 supercharged GT/PP also, so no I didn't spend $100k on an R but have $100k in 2 Mustangs.
Part of the problem of waiting 6/8 months is that possibly the GT 500 will come out and then it's $100k all over again because the 350 was yesterday's news to some. Again to why I wanted to keep a 700+HP car and a track ready car.
