This auction is riddled with shill bidding, total BS auction. In one day it went up to high 90's and ALL THE OTHER R's on Ebay have barely any bids in the 90's. Plus this Ruby Red R has been modified, roll cage installed (holes cut in rear seat delete kit) radar install (holes cut in the bottom plastic to the right of the ignition start/stop switch.

If this auction ends, 1-2 days later it will be back up on Ebay, ironic for a "NO RESERVE" auction. Manny must think we're "STOOPID."

Same person's been bidding the car up, why keep bidding on a car you are already the high bidder? Especially on a NO RESERVE!! :headbonk:

Rare doesn't equal high value. Just because a car or anything for that matter is 1 of 1 or 1 of 1 million doesn't mean it's collective.

1993 cobra R had 107
1995 cobra R had 250
2000 cobra R had 300
1992 mustang Shelby MK1 had 65 made.

All of the above can be bought today for what the car stickerd for when new. It's value hasn't really went up but I guess it really hasn't went down either.

Ask yourself this.
Let's say in 50+ years someone finds a 2015 GT350R that's completely ragged out and has been beat to death. The metal is all rotten, interior is gutted, the engine and trans are numbers matching but the rest is a POS. 1 of 37.
Now you also find a 2017 GT350 in a barn that's all complete, all original, original paint that's faded and has a few little dings, the interior is complete and smells like mice piss, the engine and trans are number matching, it starts and runs with fresh gas and new battery and fluid changes.
Which would you take?
Honestly I'd take both. Lol.
But in reality the 2017 GT350 would probably bring more at auction if you kept it as you found it and not restored it. The 2015 R would also bring money but with all the rotten metal and missing pieces it's not original anymore. I know this is a example and just my 2 cents.

I have a all original 1956 Ford F100 truck (27000 original miles) that is one of the most desirable years of the fat fenders. Some people say it's the best years period of the F100.
My truck has its original paint, all of its original sheet metal, interior, engine,trans, drivetrain, bed wood, rear door mirrors, original glass etc.
What is not original are the tires, hub caps, hoses, muffler, brake lines and wheel cylinders and fuel pump I just replaced last summer. I still kept the original fuel pump that I'll reinstall once I get a oem / nos rebuild kit. My truck was appraised for $37,500.00 can I sell it for that? Who knows because to me it's only worth what someone is willing to give you for it and what the seller is willing to accept.

My dream truck, best looking year as far as i'm concerned. I'd buy it in a heartbeat from you. Got pics ?

Find me a 93' Cobra R for sticker and I'll buy all of them. Those cars on the bottom end are $60 - $65K, on the high end six figures. . . and selling.

In addition to the '93 and '95 Cobra R's if you can find a 2000 Cobra R in stock showroom condition with very few miles on the odometer you can expect to pay a lot more than the original MSRP of $54,995.

This past weekend I was invited to a Ford dealership in the Southeast whereby they let me drive some very unique and desirable automobiles and to say that I had a great time would be an understatement.

One of the cars that I did not drive this past weekend (ran out of time) but was invited to drive this same car in a couple of weeks is a 1 of 1 2016 R model.

The GT350R that I will attempt to post pictures of checks all the boxes when it comes to production numbers, horsepower and unique options.

Check out the CF chin spoiler and the chassis plate on this car. The rear spoiler is also unique as well along with this R model being the only 4 seat R model built at Flat Rock for the 2016MY. Sorry for not taking pictures of the rear spoiler and back seat of this R model.

In the case of this particular 1 of 1 R model there is no question that this automobile could be sold on the open market for far more than it's original MSRP.

Additionally one of the cars that I did drive this weekend was also a 1 of 1 car and it was a 2013 Boss 302 Laguna Seca painted in Candy Apple Red. Again this car could command much more than it original MSRP if sold on the open market.

If you are seriously interested in a 1 of 1 car or a rare car of some sort make sure that you surround yourself with knowledgeable people that can help you make some informed decisions.

I have been around the car hobby for pretty much 50 years and still ask many of my buddies for advice and guidance and always appreciate their input when it comes to our hobby.

If you're 1:1 and it's really something unique then I get it, but it rarely is the case.

Unfortunately this "1 of ____" mass-market car thing is so diluted and overstated. A guy I knew has a plaque about a Roush Stage 3 that is 1 of 9 because it had rarely used colors. It doesn't really make that car rare. It's still a mass produced car that got shipped to a 3rd party...

Basically, all you get when you say "MINE IS RARE; 1 OF ONLY 749 IN THIS CONFIGURATION" is made fun of:

With all due respect this car is not a generic knock off and in fact is very well known in Dearborn and at Ford.

I suggest that you do some homework on this car after which time you will then know it's history.
