NRMA are offering $650 for my 2017 v8 stang coupe at a valuation of $78,000. Not too bad imo.

that's certainly v good and one of the cheapest ive seen. Mine was $864 which i thought was good. You must live in a more accident fee postcode

I live in Bathurst. Over 50, no accidents ever. I guess there is a positive to getting older after all. :D

Shannons came back to me with $650 excess, agreed value $63,000 and premium of $2495/p.a. Wtf!?

I guess it's the finance + area + age (28)?

This is an insanely good deal.

I've shopped around a bit and got:

RACV: $1558 for Agreed value $70K, $650 excess, no other perks
AAMI: Won't do agreed value and seem to think that a MY17 V8 is worth $50K...
Alianz: $2460(!) for agreed value of $64K
Shannon: $1762 for agreed value of 61.5K

Crazy expensive for a 39YO driver with zero claims or accidents and a car that is garaged in a quite suburb... Will try Budget Direct, Suncorp and GIO next but kind of running out of options here!

I did my homework, yet to figure out who I'm going to insure it with. Any comments, suggestions on this below?

Oh well I guess the four lawyers in my family would have something to say if I made a legit claim and they did not honor it!

I am moving from Sydney to Melbourne mid-Dec and just learned that NRMA doesn't cover Car Insurance in Victoria

So, I am back in market to shop for car insurance and boy did they get expensive-

Existing NRMA Comprehensive with windscreen and market value - $1250/yr

New quotes-
AAMI - $1800/yr
RACV - $1550/yr
Coles - $2000/yr
Budget Direct - $1050//yr

I am absolutely devastated to leave NRMA since I have had that good price. Any suggestions on good car insurance for Victoria/Melbourne? I have been thinking of taking up RACV as I have heard its similar to NRMA.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)
