Ecoboost tires

I am due for new tires on my ecoboost. I was looking at getting Michelin super sports. I am currently on stock performance pack wheels (and tires), which I believe are 19x9.


Would a 275/40 tire be okay to run on a daily, or is 275 pushing? I don't track my car or do anything extreme; it's my everyday car. I am open to other tire/size recommendations too.

I think 255 40 is a good size for stock 9" wide wheels. If you want to go wider id suggest going to a 35 series tire maybe 265 35. 275 35 will fit but be buldging over and flex to much where it wont really be good aestheticly or performance wise.

275 can be done but its not really utilizing the whole tire at that point

255/40 is my recommendation.

275/35 is the closest to the overall diameter of stock and should be ok on a 9 inch wide rim. I like this site for comparing different tire sizes:

9" wheel gets a 255 tire. 275 needs a 9.5" wheel and is better suited to a 10".

Get MPSS or Conti DW and you won't be missing a 275.

Hello,

Current ones are summer tires and looking for all season ones which would work better on both dry and wet roads and also one that might take lesser nails/screws, and are run flats recommended?
One of the tires is already treated for couple punctures :(

This is what I used. For my EB PP, I replaced the stock tires with the same size, 255 40/19. You'll be amazed how much better traction you get with these tires even in the summer. Where the EB PP tires are summer only, you'd think they would be great in the summer... not so much.

Almost everyday I feel the tire skid when I try to take a quick turn, and in wet conditions I am overly cautious, not sure if that's related to tire traction or that's how any RWD with 300+ HP would behave. And I recently learnt that stock ones are not run flats (yep my ignorance :doh when I was at pep boys for repairing a puncture.

Oh, I usually maintain at 32 (at cold start its usually 28-30 and while running it shows up to 31-32, per the sensors), but I want to try at 35 psi then, since its working well for you. All 4 on 35psi?
