I have a GT auto with 3:15's now, is it worth it going to 3:55, will it improve my 0-60 times, 1/4 miles times? Another issue is warranty, however I assume it would only void the warranty for parts after the driveshaft? Or can they also deny any future issues I have with engine, trans, etc.? Unfortunately my GT came with every option except the 3:55.

If you don't plan to supercharge your car, yes it is worth it.

I see I can buy the complete Ford Racing 3:55 housing for $899. I assume I would need to have the car flashed at the dealer if I do install one to adjust the speedometer and stuff? Can that only be done by a dealer?

Dealer can do it, but if you buy a flash tuner you can do it too.

My car has 3.15's and I think the swap to 3.55's and a GT350 intake manifold would be a pretty good bang for the buck. I've almost completely talked myself out of buying headers. $1500 for headers and $800 for install plus tuning adjustments makes my a$$ itch.

Don't, not to 3.55's. Get the 3.55 diff pumpkin but put in 3.31's. The 3.31's are as steep ahead you will want with an A6.

3:55's work perfect for me , and will be especially needed when i get my n/a build done next month. Stage 3 cams, jlt cai Gt-350 intake mani and tb opgs 5c converter, dynotech ds, ford racing half shafts, arh full exhaust cats x pipe ...and a dyno tune to bring it together. I will reving to 7800 rpms looking to hit 475 rwhp, and should easily!

For 1/4 mile racing a 3.31 gear with a 28" tire is ideal for an N/A coyote.

3.55's have an N/A coyote shifting into 4th right before the traps which is not ideal. 3.31's can rev out 3rd and go through the traps in 3rd.

With a converter the stock 3.15 actually work great and keep the car in 3rd through the traps also.

Search and look for RB's posts. He started with 3.15's then went t 3.73's then back to 3.15's and finally got 3.31's

You have to take the steep gearing in the 6R80 into account, same trans in the 11-14's and it's been proven time and time again that 3.31's with a 28" tire is the ideal N/A setup and any more gear will force a shift into 4th right before the traps.

Nice. I wish I wasn't only a month and 1k miles into owning the car or I would do more without warranty concerns. I'd really like a tune, headers, and a 350 intake but I'll have to wait.

Will the 3:55 be better on the street? I might hit the track once or twwice a year, but 99.999% of my driving will be on the street/city.

Eventually when I'm less worried about the warranty I plan to get a 350 intake and tune. In the future I might get headers, they do have some models for under $900, but labor is expensive and you need a tune for them anyway.

For everyday daily driving the 3.55's will make the car feel lighter and more responsive. It will go through the gears faster, which can make it feel quicker. If that's what your after then go for it, just don't expect it to be quicker at the drag strip.

By itself, the 3.55 provides a slightly noticeable increase in that torquey "seat of the pants" sensation we all love.

However, the required tune will be what really wakes up the car.

Considering the expensive of the swap, you may just want to have your car tuned.
You will not feel any appreciable difference with the 3.31
Your call.

At what rpm are you basing this on because i will have another 800 rpm added to my redline with my set up!! The only gear that is steep on the 6r80 is 1st after that they're pretty reasonable!!!
