and one of he reasons it's hard to get such companies to stay on forums when some of the Member base blasts them off the map before any real dialect can occur in a professional manner ...

It makes absolute sense. The Kessel run was a route, or I should say many possible routes through the Kessel system. Han was able to make it through the Kessel system in the shortest possible route ever. He made it in 12 parsecs. In a nutshell, Han was able to take the Falcon from point A to point B in the shortest route to date.

i have it on good authority from shelby that its simply a base model shelby to appeal to the tyre kickers. thats all. dont get your hopes up for high spec car. its not going to happen

Guys,
I've lurked for a really long time on this forum and one of the things I've noticed is how supportive and positive everyone typically is when it comes to the Mustang comunity. I own a 15 that I bought when they first came out and have really enjoyed my time on here and the threads of useful info. This one is hard to read, as I've been an employee of Shelby American for almost a decade. The negativity on the speculation here is dissapointing on this. I apreciate the honest opinions but would like positively offer myself to answer questions for you as part of the community. We're under embargo until tomm on the release but I'm happy to jump back on here and answers questions tomm night. What I can say is that we've been listening to our customers and we're pretty excited to offer this new vehicle to you. One of the most overlooked aspects to our company is our close, technical relationship with Ford and Ford Performance. Thanks and stay tuned!

With appreciation and respect,
Keith S Criswell

Welcome Keith......it's good to have you on board.

I'll admit, it's a tough crowd here sometimes when it comes to aftermarket Mustangs. It's not just Shelby......Petty, Saleen and even Roush also come in for a fair amount of stick. Harsh? Yes. Unfortunately that's the internet for you :(

I guess one of the "problems" is the base Mustang from Ford is such a superb package that it's more difficult for such companies to show a massive improvement. Then there's always the crowd that think they can (possibly justifiably) bolt on the parts themselves to reach similar results, certainly at a much lower cost.

I'm looking forward to reading more about the car later today, so please do come back and give us your insights.

I'll be visiting Vegas (from the UK) in November, so I'll be making my pilgrimage to Shelby during that week. If you're around, it'd be great to shake your hand. I don't suppose your Director of Fun, Mr Patterson will remember a couple of friends and I, but we kept cropping up at the various events during the 50th celebrations back in April '14, and he even started to refer to us as "you guys again!" Our night at the Shelby Banquet was one of the highlights of our trip

Cheers
Paul

I'm looking forward to seeing what this Shelby is. I'm not a guy who will go off on someone creating a special mustang. If it's good, it will sell. I'm just not fond of only having high dollar editions when it would be nice to see more economical editions that the rest of us can afford or aspire to.

Gary is an awesome guy. I finally got to me him at Ford Nationals when he was walking around. He came up and asked me if that was my Ingot I was sitting by in the M6G tent. He loved my car and everything I had done with it. Got my picture taken with him by my car but have not been able to get the picture from him yet. Sent him a couple of messages on IG, too.

Going to send him an email today at his work :)
