Hi everybody,

Yesterday i replaced the decklid, the one with the logo.

It looks very nice but there is a little gap above the camera and i am worried that water can get through and damage everything.

What should i do so the panel stick to the car ?

I have attached some pictures so you can see what i am talking about.

Thanks

Hi again,

So there is one tab missing from the panel on the left which I think is why there is a gap between the panel and the trunk.

Can I glue it to the trunk to fix it ? If so, which type of glue ?
It just save me the pain of sending it back to the vendor in USA :/

I wouldn't glue it to the trunk, if the tab was missing when you received it I would send it back with an explanation and get a new one.

These panels are known to have fitment issues, partly because of how they're made, partly because of some misaligned trunk lids.

BTW your pictures aren't working for some reason, shows up as an error when clicked.

If you mean there's a gap between the panel and the trunk frame, that's normal as it doesn't really seal. The camera itself is sealed so it shouldn't be bothered by the elements.

Be sure you slid the big tab on the bottom of the decklid into the slot on the trunk itself. It can be easy to overlook and if you overlook it fitment can be off. Slide that in then everything else should fall into place. It's also possible that broken tab you have is the issue as well.

Yes, it's exactly what i'm talking about.
Should I be worried about mould and other stuff going inside ?

This is checked already :)

I put some double sided tape in between the tabs. It's a little bit better but the gap is still here.
Is there a way to push the panel upward ? Or other idea ?

I wouldn't worry about it. The panel is actually 2 pieces. There's the inner piece that has the clips and 4 holes that the bolts go into through the trunk, and then there's the cover piece which is actually glued onto the inner piece. It's a shitty system and none of these things fit perfectly, some folks are just lucky and theirs fit less shitty than yours.

As long as it's installed correctly and you don't have any glaring imperfections, I wouldn't worry about it, but feel free to tweak away at it.
