Is there no way to repair it John? It's a pity that you have to trash these switchbacks (actually working) only for a disconnected wire!

Great, so you're trying the wiring I posted earlier? :)

@John: Oh man, no way to reconnect the wire?

No, the socket is really well sealed, so no chance to open it an to put the cable back in place.

Also, at the end of the socket you have 2 "pins" that make the connection, the one for the power is lost, I lost it when removing the socket ...

Another strange switchback problem

Hi all,

I ordered the switchback from the dutch ProLedLights supplier (they look like the chinese Papinist uses) . I installed everything and with ignition on (not engine) everything works fine ; with turn signal left or right on the white switchback leds go out en amber starts flashing, but when i start the engine however the white leds from the switchback stay on while the signal amber flashes normaly.
I connected the white leds from the switchback to the small square drl's next to the turn signals.

According to Papinist picture it says; connect to acc. What is going wrong?

thanks
Sus

Take a look at my posts on the last few pages. Some EU Mustangs have a problem with too high voltage, so it triggers the signal on and off very quick to reduce the voltage - It's called PWM. This causes many errors on LEDs and there's no simple solution to that (see the PWM fix module on the last page)

Yes Ace, i have read those, but since i don't have the flickering problem but a solid white switchback with engine on, i thought it was a differend problem.
So the high voltage problem causes random issues, not only the flickering?

I hope someone find's a solution for this problem.....:-(

The difference can be from having other LEDs than me. I also know someone who modified the Diode Dynamics for fitment, on his car the turn signal is always on when the engine is running :frusty:

Bump this thread.

Do you guys have found a way to solve the PWM issue ?
Ace, you said you will try to plug the switchbacks to DD's new drivers, have you tested this ?

Someone else now in France got this problem with the switchbacks and was catched by the police because of the flickering ...

Didn't have time to try it atm. Was on vacation for a while :)

But I got the same problem with the parking lights on my tribars. Once the engine is on, the parking light tribars flicker. DRL tribars are working fine. :frusty:

But already got a solution for is by wiring the parking light tribars to use the power of the ignition on signal by using the Osram DRL signal on a relais (if ignition is on, parking lights are off, but if osram DRL is off too it uses ingnition signal on the parking lights). Will try it out tomorrow.
