Contact steeda. See what they say
They give a warning in the instructions not to 'over-tighten', so its my fault.

It seems a pretty vague instruction, so I aimed for approx the same tightness as the OE shifter.

If anyone else buys one, be careful. Dont go as tight as the OE item.

So what's everyones opinon on gas? I swear my fuel consumption varies from tank to tank with the same driving style and patterns... I tried a different brand this weekend and I swear my avg. dropped a few points...

I'm usually doing 95 at CircleK/Statoil... tried the XY (Hydro/Texaco) this weekend...

Its quite normal that the consumption will vary with different brand of fuel. It has been tested over and over again that Shell V-Power is the winner, just ahead of BP/Aral and their Ultimate. I think Esso scored 3rd place....

i use normal Super+ here, not the premium stuff from Shell or Aral which is usally 10+c per Liter more expensive than S+ here. I also got the feeling that with V-Power the Mustang GT has at least 1+l higher fuel consumption

I usually put Octa 98 in, but every 4 tanks I use the Shell V-Power 98, currently at 1.383L, I use it for the so called cleaning capability's and on a full tank I shaves off about 8 Liters, but no matter what fuel I use I'm lucky if I get +-400km out of a full tank. Funny enough that's less than what a buddy of mine gets on his GT AT. Still my guess is that the current/non updated AT software is the ball breaker, because my consumption is better in Sport+ than Eco/Normal.

400 km seems so few with a full tank. I got about 600 km every tank, always using the cheapest fuel I can find :D
Last time I found it at 1,394L and it's the lowest in a 50km radius.

I have a 15 km daily commute between contryside and city driving.. but I consider my fuel consumption to be fairly average for this car.
When I did a trip to the beach, about 200km one way and mostly freeway\highway, for that tank I reached 13 km\l :D

This sounds weird to me, my daily commute is about 20km a 30km, maybe you can do the drive at once without 10 to 15 traffic lights etc. and higher speeds. Where I live it's more like accelerate to 50/70 or 90 (even though I speed at most places) and every 2 to 4km we have traffic lights. Lots of fuel gets wasted here from pulling/breaking...

There is like one place I need to visit once a week, only 10km away from my house and sometimes it takes me 30 to 40 minutes to get there, just traffic and traffic lights... boring ;)

Well in the city part I got only 2 traffic lights, and also city is really not crowded at that time. Actually it's a small city so it's difficult to have too much traffic :)

The automatic EcoBoost is known for it's very poor fuel economy, compared to the manual. You really can't compare them.

I have done 20.000 km now in my manual using BP 98 Ultimate exclusively and my overall average is 10.6 km per liter.

How does getting speeding tickets work if you are not in your country of registration?

i.e. My plates are issued by Germany, what would happen if I were speeding in Switzerland?

there is a contract between switzerland and other coutries to get the speed tickets xD

so if you get caught here in switzerland you will get the ticket for sure... and it will not be cheap... last time I sadly got caught with +20km and that gave about 1000€ ticket plus 1 month without driving license... ahahah

so be careful if you are here :p
