I'm getting my car in early sept by the looks of it and am now getting ready to order an exhaust ready for its arrival. Do any of you in the UK run a stainless works retro chambered set up? After listening to you tube videos this is currently top of my list but I would really like to hear one in person befor pulling the trigger on a big purchase....

Any regrets / drone / just TOO loud?
Or is it just beautiful Mellow old fashioned base?

Out of interest who did you buy it through?

In all honesty it is loud, but it's not obnoxiously loud. There's a slight drone at about 70mph but not enough to annoy me. It just sounds incredible and it'll put a smile on your face every time you start it. No regrets at all

I bought it through American Muscle. Shipping was really quick and I believe they were the cheapest at the time.

Thanks Stuart. I strongly suspect I may have to place an order soon!

Glad I could help. Wish you lived a little closer so you could get a chance to hear it in person!

Me too. I doubt there are many more in the uk so I will probably have to order unseen ultimately. Hearing positive first hand reviews is a bonus.

In all honesty it is loud.
I have just had mine fitted. I just re-read your words. It is loud. I'm not convinced just yet. It sounds awesome at start-up, shifts and when moving, but getting from 0-20/30mph is pretty anti-social... I live on a pretty busy road, I feel like everyone is looking at me when I pull away. On a country road pushing along it makes you smile to the point of laughter...

I suppose the point I am making is that I love it, but I suspect others (pedestrians, other drivers) may not. It is a lot louder than my old Chimaera (4.0 stock exhaust). Think Chimaera at full throttle = Mustang at 2,000 rpm.

I would like to have it a little more subtle at the low speeds, but not too sure how to achieve that, maybe it will settle a bit... wishful thinking.

I will get a couple of videos to share and will try and make it to a meet.

Should simmer down after about 500 miles, my magnaflow has to a more 'sociable' level - when I got it originally it was criminally loud

Same with my MBRP.

Its still anti-socially loud but after some break-in its turned into a lovely little purr at sane speeds and at idle.

Get on it, though, and its goodbye ear-drums. :headbang:

Thanks Manders Mustang and benanderson89
This is good to hear. I look forward to it calming a bit!

When the car settles to a warm idle it does sound amazing, exactly the V8 burble I was hoping for. Nice little bit of overrun on deceleration too, promising for the future. Will post soon, just need to have the final alignment done next week once it has settled.

Yeah mine once I'd got it, was deafeningly loud, as graham called it a cossi on roids, never having heard a cossi - i'll have to assume that's a good thing. It's toned down and sounds much more OEM now. But really suits the ecoboost (wonder how longuntil kristian gets one... ;) ).

But yeha, if it aint to your liking after 500-600miles I'm sure there's plenty who will take/swap etc if possible ;)
