Any videos? And how much louder is cold start before and after headers? I have s-type with H pipe now. Thinking of the cat deletes.
On a scale 1-10 1 being stock and 10 being NASCAR, I'd say about 6-7 with the s-types and h-pipe.

Anyone ever just run chatted headers into the stock catback? Not sure if that would choke off the headers from the bottleneck but imthinking of that or maybe corsa touring axle back (if theyll get their convertible specific stuff out) or magnaflow street.
I want headers for power but on a 1-10 loudness I'd like to be 5ish with as little raspiness as possible.

Hands down the best exhaust combo I've heard is my buddie's car, Stainless power off road longtubes with Stainless works catback with an x pipe. Nice and deep at idle and low revs but has a higher pitched almost exotic sound at full throttle. Its definitely a tolerable volume but the tone will grab attention for sure. Here's a video I took, not the best though....

Do you have any videos of your setup with the resonated x pipe? I've got a video of mine but I just uploaded it to youtube so it's not in HD yet. I had it like this for 2 days before I put the stock resonator in place, it was way too loud to daily.

That video Dwalker posted is of my car. I had the FRPP sport before and it was a little tinny soundingl. Now, with the full 3" Stainless works it is perfect!

All have catted Kooks long tube catted headers, JLT intake & Lund tune

1. Kooks Headers, X-pipe, FRPP Touring Mufflers (too raspy)
2. Kooks Headers, Borla Resonator, FRPP Touring Mufflers (nice tone but really quiet especially inside)
3. Kooks Headers, Borla Resonator, Borla S-Type Mufflers (even nicer tone but still a little too quiet)
4. Kooks Headers, X-pipe, Borla S-Type Mufflers (great tone throughout RPM's, loud but not obnoxious, very impressed)

I don't have a video, never really messed with YouTube. I will video it and try to post it. I not nascar loud but I'm not happy with the sound. I loved the roush and xpipe alone before the LTs

Catless LTH's + Corsa Sport isn't obnoxiously loud, but you'll definitely know it's there. It only screams when you want it to. I like the tone of the sport exhaust a lot!

I have a convertible and with the MBRP Race catback it is extremely loud. The convertible has nowhere near the sound deadening of the hardtops. I am dreading when I go to LTs in the future. I might have to switch out to a different muffler setup at that point. As it is right now the sound is deafening. I like it, but I think it'll make most people's ears bleed. As it is right now I am considering several different LTs to purchase in the next few months.

Long tubes are exceptional for power, but in many cases you find yourself playing damage control to get rid of the rasp and high volume. You definitely want a more conservative catback section that has decent size mufflers, not only for noise purposes, but also tone.

Some possible options could be:
LT+stock catback is popular, maybe even a little on the quiet side.
LT+Gt500 axleback gives you a bit more volume
LT+Street catback (19100) is described by many of our customers as the perfect volume for the street, and cuts out almost all the rasp from the headers.

Another option would be to source some quality oval mufflers and have them added by an exhaust shop in addition to the resonated X.

How are people getting rid of drone that some LT and catback systems have? Right now I really don't get any drone from my MBRP exhaust. I'm afraid when I add LT's, I will.

My understanding was that headers by themselves will not add drone - but basically amplify whatever your currently have.

I have read a number of people complaining about drone on mbrp - so maybe it is there but you don't really notice it? If so, headers may make it more prominent.
