So the grinding took a little longer than I thought and then the rain moved in. Air grinder and a carbide bit took care of it.

TB fits now. Some of you will ask shouldn't you get the MMR spacer which would have solved this?

1. This intake is drilled and tapped for the stock TB. MMR adapter would not have worked.

2. I cannot use the GT-350 cause Lund wanted to wait until they got some better data on the GT-350 TB before making too many changes at once.

Disconnect the negative and positive battery cable.
Remove strut tower brace and take off engine cover.
Disconnect the TB and the Evap solenoid. Both electrical and the tube.
Disconnect the brake booster line (mine is in the rear because I changed it)

Trace back the evap line where it runs under the brake booster and disconnect it. It is a little bit of a pain. The two clips in the back push up and the clip slides over releasing it.

Remove the fuel line (get a rag to catch the little bit of fuel that comes out.

Remove the firewall fuel line if you go with my parts setup.

Remove the coolant hose rails and the foam insulators.

The intake should be free minus the bolts holding it down. There are 4 fuel rail bolts and 6 intake bolts. All have to be loosened but the fuel rails do not have to come off.

Your junk will be dirty so clean it.

That is all for tonight. I ground down the interference for the TB and I will do the rest in the morning.

Someone needs to make heater hose replacements so I can route the coolant hoses under the manifold. Tons of room.

Guys I am about 90% there. Fuel is all done and the evap solenoid has been relocated. That solenoid took some time to rewire from the TB location to the driver's side fenderwell. All of the vacuum is hooked up but I have to stop for the day. The wife has plans for us. I will pick back up in the morning.

Those of you thinking this is straight swap. It isn't if you don't want a fuel smell in your car (Evap) and you don't like to grind on a $600.00 intake. Also this changes the entire intake tract as well. Don't see it hooking up to too many CAI or even the stocker at all. I fortunately had a longer piece of 4" hose laying around to get my PC kit hooked back up to it.

One thing I am going to do for sure is relocate the heater hose coolant lines underneath the intake. There is a ton of room and would be easy to do. MMR's smaller bungs look like they will work.

Will you get codes by not having all that stuff hooked up anymore?

Yes but they could be tuned out I am sure. However the biggest thing is fuel smell you would always have outside and possibly inside. It takes the fuel vapors from the gas tank and dumps it into the intake to be burned.

You have to get a tune anyways because you will be deleting the IMRC valves.

Now that you have installed it and ran into a few "bumps in the road" do you feel this is why Stang TV hasn't released their review???
