Well I actually managed to acquire the necessary funds for a kit. Still decided on which one to go with. How well do the map charge pipes fit on an atm intercooler? And why did Adam add $50 to the price tag of his kit!? Also how hard is the install? Vargas looks like easiest and most cost efficient set up but the gtx 2867r looks like a better street set up which is how I use the car as a dd.

Any chance this turbo could break into 10s on stock motor? With the right susp, converter, and tire/wheel setup?
Yes and no. Can it? Sure, if you want to push it. High Dominator here on the forums just went 125mph this weekend on his E85 car that I tuned running a 5558BB kit, it makes 445whp. This is without stalling it up, this was a straight up green light go. If you are an AT car, with E85 this turbo will make 430-440whp reliably, maybe more MAXED out but that is what I would rate it at. So, with some tuning specifically catered to a high goal of a 10 second pass, it could be done on E85 with the correct suspension/wheel setup.

There is only one thread that is geared towards results of running the VS2. It was just recently shipped out, so I am not quite sure what you are complaining about. There has been results from the VS2, from Vargas. The numbers and graphs are posted, but no quarter mile times that I've seen.

This thread is about the MAP Kit with the GTX2867r turbo, not the VS2. By the way, which turbo are you running again?
Who cares? If you want information regarding the GTX2867R kit then post here, if you want information about the VS2 then go to the VS2 thread. Enough from both of you going back and forth about something that DOES NOT MATTER.

Any reason your not shooting for higher boost with the aux fuel (meth injection) over the 24 commanded psi?

Just curious, and it is not lost on me that you may have hit your target power. I am in the same camp on keeping it reliable etc.
Because his goal was 400whp/400wtq. I stopped when I told him, "hey, your car makes 400whp go to the dyno".

:thumbsup::p

I am most curious to see this turbo on an automatic car. I want me to car to be an all arounder, and this definitely seems like it would be a great autox/road course turbo. Just curious if from a dig if it would require a converter or the transbrake. Or if it would make enough off a footbrake to get off the line.

It will 100% make boost off the line without a transbrake but if I'm doing the tuning adding a Transbrake built into the tune itself will be an option in the near future.

You will be doing the tuning indeed. You are in the process of tuning my car now actually. :headbang:

Autox was a big reason I picked this turbo. Its responsive and being water cooled makes cool down easier on HPDE. IDK if I would autox an AT car though :D

I probably will never actually autox the car. but a road course track day, or winding back hill country roads the car will definitely see. I've yet to take my car up to Austin and hit the hill country to see how it does.

Yeah never driven either, I know it's as in given that I'm a native born Texan lol. It's on my bucket list though.

Not really sure this shows too much, except for the waviness of boost with the Vargas. The top car is a MT and the bottom car is AT. So boost between shifts can't be compared.

Would the waviness derive from the wastegate being used or is it a characteristic of the turbo itself?

Neither. 100% in the tune. A sloppy boost curve just means its either not dialed in yet, or the tuner may not be up to task. Our shop car boost curve is a smooth as silk, as Adam knows how to get a nice boost curve. There is always the option of a hardware issue, boost leak, etc, etc

Shop car curve looks like this on a 3-4 shift
