Hell yeah thats awesome, I was looking @ it last night and it seemed like they fell off the pace a bit.

uuuhhhh didn't Porsche win ?
Porsche won their class, Ford won theirs. They still are considered Le Mans winners.

Just for the sake of ecoboost argument Ford just won Le Mans..
It was a silly argument in the first place IMO. The ecoboosts are not just a marketing gimmick. Can't wait to get my Raptor with the 3.5 liter ecoboost.

I'd likely still own my Raptor if it had been an ecoboost truck. The 6.2 makes cool noise but was less than impressive to me. I feel sorry for anyone who has or owns a 5.4 raptor.

I'll never understand why people base their decision on a performance car or truck because of the sound. Don't get me wrong. I love the sound of a V8. And to me the sound of my old 289 at 9500 rpm and my voodoo are hands down the two best sounding V8's. But I also own a 2.7L ecoboost F150. Although it's sound is lame, it's performance is not. For a bone stock 2016 regular cab short bed truck with a tiny ass 2.7L v6 that does 13.7s in the 1/4 and gets 20+ city mpg it's down right amazing. I think ford is going in the right direction with the ecoboost engines. The GT just proved that.

Your truck is a great appliance. Im not looking for a humming refrigerator on wheels. Sound is a HUGE part of the excitement for people. Im not talking about a fart can Civic, Im talking about a thunderous V8. Thats great what turbo/FI technology is doing for performance and miles per gallon, its just not for me, and itll probably never be with thr exception of a R34 Skyline or Supra.

It might be a brick or refrigerator on wheels, but it also performs better then some V8's. But I also have a GT350 and a F150 FX2 5.0 that I agree sound great. I'm just saying you can't dismiss the ecoboost performance facts. Except the lack of muscle sound. I'd never buy any import. But that's just me.

I don't understand. "This will never be for me!" ... "Except these..."

Exactly. So if ford were to put a 600+ ecoboost v6 in a gt500 and destroyed the hellcat he wouldn't want it. That's like saying I'd only buy a Porsche if it had a V8.

I agree. NA motors dont really stand a chance in the performance department.

Youre basically saying im a fool for not wanting the future GT500 because its super quick, and itll blow the doors off a Hellcat. Some would say you're a fool for never buying an import.

At the end of the day, you like what you like, and it doesnt make anyone right or wrong.

I never called you a fool.
I buy and support American made products and companies. Let's not turn this into a fight. Don't tell me that Toyota is more American either.
