Check out a Canon T5i or T6i, great starter bodies and lenses

I have a Canon DSLR but that's $500 plus more for better lenses. Most of the time I just use a Panasonic Lumix DMC that I bought at CostCo for $170 or so. This camera works for me 90% of the time, even on vacation.

I used to take my DSLR but it's too much too carry and you have to worry about somebody stealing it. For fully automatic shooting the Panasonics are more than adequate.

As has been mentioned, a DSLR will of course give you the best results because of the better optics, but it's a matter of how much money you want to spend. Most of the better point and shoots now do a pretty good job and may very well be good enough to do what you're looking for, for a lot less coin. Don't just look at megapixel ratings though- good quality optics are more important, IMO.

Yup its what I have been using for years but it's a bit outdated by the newer models :D
Yeah, it has been a good beginner camera for me I hope to upgrade soon but mods seem to get in the way. :D

Nikon D7100. Same internals as the D7200, but has a better body because the 7200 had to replace metal for plastics in order to get the wifi to work.

I'm still rocking the T2i, which is even more outdated. Would give somebody a handy right now for a new 80D. :p

i bought a sony a6000 with the kit lens open box for 430 from best buy and got a 30mm f1.4 lens for it. I'm really happy with it. This is my first camera ever so i have a lot to learn, but it's been fun so far!

sorry in advance for the large pictures, no idea how to rescale them from google drive.

Chad11491 Sweet picture of my wheels! Just checked out your flickr, too. Cool pictures.

I have the same A6000 as I am a first time photographer, too. My pictures don't look as good as yours but I am learning.

Are you in the ATLS500 club? Not sure I have met you yet? Do you mind if I use those 2 wheels pictures? I would like to post them on Instagram and on Facebook this week. I will give you all the credit, of course:hail::thumbsup:

Any more pictures of my car?

sure thing, I don't mind at all! and yes I am, but you weren't by your car when i was at the show I don't think. We were only there for about 30 minutes since it was so hot. I just walked the show and talked to George and Nick for a minute and headed out. I don't think I've gotten any others of your car, that was the first time I saw it, and it looks great! I was at the 400 member meet but I didn't see your car until you were pulling out haha.

they should be on the club's wall too. I posted up all the pics of the car show I got a few days ago. Feel free to download them and do whatever with them, your car after all ;) they're the full resolution from the camera so you can resize and use however you want.
