"As i head into day 10 of no hope I was thinking tonight about saying fare well to you all and joining the Fiesta ST Forum."

This is clearly a cry for help. But if you are thinking of harming yourself (or worse), do call the Samaritans. Alternatively, you can post here on Mustang6G: there is always someone here, 24hrs, who you can talk with about your (delivery) problems. Buying a Fiesta is never the answer. :D

Twiggy,
I feel your pain - I would be demanding a Demonstrator GT. :frusty:
There is a good few people who have had issues & have had Demo cars.
It doesn't end the pain, but at least you could take out your suffering on a demo GT! :D

Get onto your dealer/Stacey & demand a Demo Mustang in the interim.

Thanks, I really don't need a car to use, not even another Mustang....just a phone call, an email, that's all I ask so I know what's going on, I've spent £50'000.00 at that dealers in the last 3 months buying not only the Mustang but a Fiesta ST, I don't want anything extra because of it, just an update that's all.

Well I gave in yesterday afternoon, finally got brave and sent an email to my dealers servicing department to ask for an update, nothing yet but it is a tad early.

Twiggy,

You are too kind and patient. You should ring them every f##ing day!

If you want me to put a letter together for you just say. I am not saying you are not capable but I am a Company Director and pretty good at wording things.

You need to get angry (not sure thats in your blood) and get nasty (not sure that is either)

It is YOUR CAR
the service IS NOT ACCEPTABLE

If they are still talking shite about needing to drive a V8 I will bring mine up on a week day if they pay my petrol! In fact F##K it. I will bring it up whatever and I will speak to them for you!

Unless you get the right reply today. In which case let us know straight away cos I get in a shite mood every time I read this thread!

Thanks guys, I held off on calling them because I didn't want to say something rude down the phone, I'll keep you posted.

You fully have the right to be rude, the service team sound under knowledged, thinking there's a turbo in it for starters. Your car is in for Warranty work, which, as I understand the ford dealership will claim the money back from ford for (If this includes servicing hours, they're going to make a hefty profit from your car).

Things you should have been given -
Courtesy Car
Updates
A car that passed PDI with no issues

Things you got -
None of the above (To my knowledge).

You shouldn't have to chase them for updates, I agree, however, as with most things with Ford, getting an update is almost like getting blood from a stone, infact the latter maybe easier. Ring daily. I'm 110% with Stevec here, it is YOUR MONEY, YOUR CAR, Your time your losing, Service departments time on other cars they're losing, reputation ford are losing etc, it should be within both parties interests to get the car in and out as quick as possible.

End of the day, last think I want to see is you cancelling your order, I know exactly what it would feel like for you if you got a cancelled order, even if it was the exact same spec, it wouldn't feel like it was yours. This one has your name on it and has a special sentimental place in your heart, you should not settle for the bs your dealership are giving you, and if they continue to do so, pull the car from them (you're legally allowed to as it's within ownership of you), demand they cover the cost of taking it to a mustang specialist (May as well go to someone right than your Halfords guys), and get it sorted within a day or two, without all the sh1t they're putting you through.

Sorry for the mammoth rant, just this situation is beginning to do my nut in (fords fault, not yours)

CALL THEM MATE, GIVE THEM SHIT. EVERY DAY
I'm getting to that stage, I've spent my 2 weeks holiday wearing the carpet out, even just been on Pistonheads looking to see what they have, all are over priced, did see a Magnetic which sounded right but it's on for £38'000, yes I know i'd be bonkers paying that much but i'm tempted, it's funny there's a lot of cars on there, if I was the dealer i'd have gone an showed an interest in one and asked for a test drive to see if it made the same sound rather than wait for one to turn up which at this rate seems forever.

Right folks, can't say to much but I think most know how I feel about this now, I need some advice, I've been told I can pick the car up and wait until they get a Mustang in to compare it to, or i can leave it at the dealers until they find one? Part of me wants to get it home as i'm worried it's sat with the chance of getting knocked by accident.

Go and get it and take me up on my offer of bringing mine up for them to drive.
Its a f~~king joke.

Or bring it down to my dealer in Hastings who will compare it to mine or their own V8 demo

Take it home, no point keeping it there doing naff all... As for another mustang to compare it to, can one of our Berkshire or surrounding area friends with a v8 manual please go to twiggys dealer just to resolve this cess pool, i'll personally buy you a beer.

edit: and that's a beer for Steve
