V8 GT Fastback in Ruby Red

After ordering in Jan 15 our car finally arrived at the end of March. It was picked up in the rain, and with it either being grubby or wet for the past few weeks, I finally managed to get a few decent snaps of it yesterday... It's a V8 manual fastback in ruby red, with all three options added - it now has LED interior lights, and I'm waiting for the LED DRLs to arrive once they're back in stock in Holland. It's pretty noticeable how yellow the standard ones look :doh: Anyway, pictures!

It was a slightly tricky decision as the original brochures didn't really help a lot... Really pleased with the result though!

There's a female-friendly way to justify the engine choice?
Obviously I except the GT owning female here but I can't imagine waxing lyrical about the epic pulling power and majestic roar of the V8 is going to sway the gentler sex. My wife has no truck with such things, by which I mean no interest. Though she also does not have a truck...

Looks amazing, I've got a ruby GT auto with custom pack on order and the last thing I specified to the dealer was the colour, they all looked good in the brochure. I've had second thoughts about it but the more I've seen here has convinced me that I've made the right choice. It might be subliminal or fate but I placed the order days after our Ruby wedding and my mother's name was also Ruby so it will always have a special meaning for me. I am becoming more concerned about buying a car with apparently such poor build quality but as many have said already, the grin factor should outweigh this. I've also decided to keep my BM so if I need "quality" therapy I can always take that for a ride instead.
Great car, great colour, enjoy it safely.

Fuel is never going to be cheaper... We won't do many miles... A turbo-4 isn't really going to be any more economical... It sounds nice...

Actually, that may have just been the justification to myself come to think of it ;)
